WOW! Zavaland is a new brand name to me, but from the minute I opened the Amazon box and looked at these shears in their packaging, I knew they would be awesome! I have many plants and landscaping across my land, so the first thing I did was go outside and test the shears. I tried them on a few bushes and shrubs and they worked great! They are definitely sharp! They made very clean cuts on everything and will get used a lot! Since these are made of metal, they have a sturdy feeling and are comfortable even for my hands lol! I expect these pruners to last me a very long time, but if I screw anything up there was even an extra blade included!Also I just started reading through the bonus pruning manual the manufacturer has and have picked up a few great tips too. And the company already sent me a really great follow-up in case I had any questions or needed help. These days it's nice to feel valued as a customer and know that a company stands behind its products. Well worth the price! Very happy with my purchase!

I use pruning shears a lot and these are much easier on my wrist. Excellent! Very sharp and Zavaland offers a handy guide. Closing/locking shears is a bit cumbersome. The ease of using and the sharpness is superb.

This product does the job very well, but after only a days worth of pruning 6 months old grape vines the screw that holds the locking mechanism in place came loose and dropped. Plus the nut that holds the blade in place is also very loose. As much as I like to, I can NOT recommend this product. I have returned it for refund.Three years later and after getting a pair free from the seller after I complained about the first once I bought I have to say that these shears are the worst I have ever used. I own a vineyard and I know how to use and take card of pruning shears. They have only been used for pruning vines and fruit trees and the blades are showing gouges. I am extremely disappointing and will never get these again.

the shears are fine. supposedly they will stay sharp plus they come with an extra blade. 3 stars middle of the road because the package states a website to go to and register for your warranty, get detailed instructions on how to change blades plus maintenance and care tips plus a a pruning manual that supposedly is worth 12 bucks. Upon going to the site, there is absolutely none of this.

We have several fruit trees in our yard so we have the opportunity to give pruning shears a real workout every spring. I purchased these shears to cut small suckers and branches from the trees. Based on the reviews I read here, I thought this was a task well within the capacity of this tool. I received the sheers early this week and was actually excited to do a little pruning this weekend with my new snippers.As a test I cut exactly 4 small 1/4" to 1/2" diameter branches from an apple tree and another 2 or 3 small branches from a cherry tree. The sheers cut just fine but afterwards I examined the blade to find serious damage was done. I was totally surprised by the damage since I had cut so few branches and kept my pruning to the smaller of the branches I usually encounter.I give the sheers two stars because they do seem well built and probably better suited to pruning plants and shrubs. However these are not capable of cutting tree branches based on my experience.The sheers come with an extra blade so I will swap the blade and designate these sheers for lighter work in the yard. I'm off to find a better sheer for the trees.

I have received and started using my new pruning shears. Boy was I surprised!! My expectation was that the product should be high-quality, connected with a long-term warranty or guarantee and truly functional for my arthritic hands since I will be using them a lot. Also I wanted shears that I wouldn't have to break the bank to get. My expectation was truly over- fulfilled! What a neat pair of pruning shears for my gardening work. Though it's cold here in the East, I used them this morning on two potted plants and some hedges that needed some work. I was so excited about how they performed I just had to let others know about my discovery. I've gone through a lot of pruning shears over the years but these are the best that I've had. These shears also have an extra blade, a lifetime guarantee and an instruction manual. WOW!

UPDATE!!!!After waiting two weeks for a response to my email, I decided to give them a one star review. Amazingly within 24 hours after my review I received a response. I traded emails with customer service for a couple of days. The reason I'm giving a four star instead of a five star is that the company never took any responsibility at all!!! My email was lost by their "system" and they have an outsourced company doing their quality assurance checks. According to Zavaland, it was not their fault. I did receive a replacement within 10 days. I also received a follow up email from the company to make sure that everything was ok. Zavaland appears to be a fine company. The emails were polite and professional. They did send a replacement at no charge.Don't waste your money. Only worked for a month. I had to replace the blade within two weeks. When the retaining pins that support the cutting blade snapped off, I contacted the company via email. NO RESPONSE. They do not back up their product.
