While this is marketed as 'Tire & Trim' and does work well on tires, my interest was trim. I have a couple of older cars (a 2001 Volvo and a 2002 Durango). The paint is immaculate and they are well kept. Over the years from exposure to sun ran, salt, etc. the plastic trim pieces like body mouldings, have faded and grayed significantly. On the Volvo these trim pieces are dark gray when new, while on the Durango they are black.I was using Dub Tire spray on them, as this tends to darken them and lasts at least a few weeks before fading. The Dub product si a spray though, which means carefully spraying larger areas, or spraying onto a rag for narrower spots. Dub is also not cheap, and I use it on my tires so I am always running out.The other approach, which you should NOT do unless you know what you are doing, is to use a heat gun on a low setting to "wet" the surfaces. Essentially, you are melting their surface, but not visible to the naked eye. While this works very well, it is not something you want to do repeatedly as it weakens the plastic. I have done this on both cars once though, and then treated them with Dub. The results were remarkable.OK so.....Chemical Guys Tire & Trim Gel......FANTASTIC. It comes as a gel, liquidy enough to pour onto a rag, but thick enough not to run all over the place. I used very little to wipe it onto the plastic on the two cars. It works great. It darkens the plastic just as well as the Dub product, and it adds a little shine as well. Because it is a gel it is a bit easier to apply by hand in tight spots, around lights, etc.This product is excellent on tires and I like that I don't have to worry about overspray on the car or wheels, like with Dub. But the tires were not my goal - it was faded trim.This product is not going to mask severely milky plastic. If it's faded to a gray and has some whitenes to it, it works, but it has a lot of white in it, not so much. That's where the heat gun treatment can sometimes help. Again, that is NOT for everyone.I have included photos of the Volvo, with its plastic and and tires treated with this product. I had already done the car about 3 months ago with Dub, so I can't show you the total "before". However in the second photo, you can see the spot I intentionally had skipped to test Dub, and now the Tire & Trim gel. You can see how light the bottom piece is compared to the top. The top piece is also part of the bumper and was the most severely worn.The other photos are a roof rack on a 7 year old minivan. You can see from the before and after the huge difference.This product may not get the plastic back to showroom condition, but it will get you 90% or more of the way there.By the way, it also works on faded/milky metal trim like wiper arms, making them a glossy black. That tends to last only a week or two though.The real question becomes how long it lasts. I will update this review once I see how it looks in a week or two.

Quality product that goes on easy and shines the tires. Makes tires look wet, and stays on for a week.

Ave tried quite a few trim restore & this one stand out to bethehands down the best one. Easy to apply & doesn't leave any streaks or oily residue. Loved it so much I ordered one again.

Restore black trim very well until it rains or wash the car. Then, you have to reapply it again.

Not sure what this material is but it makes my tires look wet and so clean. People keep asking me what I use on my tires. Honestly never seen anything like it...

This product works extremely well. What I like most about it is that it dries to the touch. Every other product I’ve ever used that had a result that looked this good (deep, dark, black plastic trim) always seemed to have an oily residue. This even works on painted black trim on my LR4. I wish they would make a product they would make a spray-on version of this for tires because it is very thick and that makes it a bit difficult to apply to tires, though the end result is fantastic.

I used this on my trucks trim. Trim was 10 years old and Arizona faded. Brought it right back to life. I used it on every plastic part of the vehicle and the wheels and they look great. Erased wax streaks that were on some of the black trim. This product does feel like it’s oil based so be aware of that, a little goes a really long way. Wipes off paint and windows easy if accidentally spread on. One downside: Even applied correctly, and after wiped dry to the touch, this stuff attracts dust like crazy. Dust cleans off easy enough but the instructional video acts like it won’t do that because it’s dry to the touch. Not a deal breaker, and I’ll continue to use it. I did not have it streak down when it got wet like some of the other reviews were saying. It’s really easy to overapply this stuff, not that it’ll hurt anything but I’d imagine in that case it would run when it rains or you go through a car wash.

Had super faded black pieces on my work sprinter, these things worked great in turning those back into shiny black plastic.

Excelente para exteriores, cualquier plástico o llanta, la deja con muy buen aspecto, es muy fácil de aplicar con una esponja. Lo acabo de aplicar en los plásticos de mi auto, las fotos muestran la parte brillante donde ya lo aplique, y la parte opaca como estaban antes. Tambien lo aplique a los plásticos del motor y quedo excelente. Actualizare mi reciew cuando vea cuanto dura. Solo como tip, si vas a aplicarlo sobre la parrilla y tiene muchos orificios, como un panal, te recomiendo que uses algún producto de chemical guys en spray, NICE AND WET TIRE SHINE PROTECTIVE, porque así será mucho más fácil y rápido.

Have tried many plastic restorer's this is by far one of the best. don't use too much and apply with a brush or foam applicator and the results are really great

Absolute miracle. As I details cars for me there is no other alternative this is the product that I use and will continue using it. Clean the surface and apply the Gel using a microfiber sponge then let is dry for 10 -15 minutes and wipe the access with a clean Microfibre cloth then see the magic. if the trims are black the color enhance, I do apply this to plastics also works great it takes away the dullness and brings in the life into it. Also after the cure I do apply some sealant which keeps it protected for more than 6 months.

Product last long and it not greasy to the touch works well and apply very easy with a little amount. Perfect shine to.
