Smaller than expected!
Very portable, works well and the drawer is great. But it's smaller than I expected. All in all this was a great buy. 5 years of use now and still working perfect!

ALMOST Everything I Need. in a Book Rack
I've kept a book rack on my kitchen table for years--for my morning paper with breakfast and current book at other meals. Recently I've added my iPad to the mix. The only drawback I see is that there is nothing to hold the book open. Both my former racks had something--one had removable pegs and one had built in "wings" to lift and hold what I'm reading open. I've had to put a huge binder clip on one side of the rack. Today's publishers are allowing much less center margins than before. I suggest that someone in the design stage of book racks be charged with USING the rack rather than just LOOKING at it. This is a HUGE DESIGN FLAW!

A tripod of many uses and of many successes
I consider value in my reviews. I don't expect generally $129 products for $20. On the other hand, when I find a product for $20 that does a $50 useful function and is adequately if not decently put together and thought out, I'm happy. With this device I'm happy.. I love it for reading or watching a iPad while laying back, arm chair or bed/pillows. I like that it is fairly light-weight.I have not tried it yet for the brush drawer or as an art easel. I have a "fountain pen brush tip" from Amazon that should be perfect for this easel. What could be better? The slots where the tilted support fit could be a better, more solid fit. There could be a way to clip the pages open, and use it as a music stand. How about an option lightweight tripod to use it as a music stand? tuner and picks in the drawer. Short term, the large spring clips of many varieties will all work. I'd still love a tripod. Love the product.

Great reading desk for someone with neck issues!
I am a middle school ELA teacher who had two disks replaced in my neck last year. Suddenly, spending four to six hours a week grading badly written essays was a literal pain in the neck as I can't look face-down for long periods of time: This is a great grading desk. I cut a thin piece of plywood the same size as copy paper for my writing surface-- a clipboard would work fine-- and it even has a lovely place to store my pens and pencils. Plus it's short enough that I can teach over the top of it. I take it with me to teacher's workshops and everyone that sees it wants to know where I got it. It is very light and drops down into my purse nicely. I just ordered three more: one for home, one for the camp and one for my Sunday School classroom.

Arrived with broken hinge.
I knew something was wrong when the box was handed to me. Something was clinking about loose inside the box. I knew something was broken before I even opened the box. The hinge was snapped off. It was also sent in the same box it comes in with no secured tape over the openings. A label was just slapped on it. No shipping box with padding that might have helped prevent broken hinges from the hard knocking about during shipping. The hinges are very poor quality also. I actually took out the screws on the side and re-set them correctly so the lid would shut correctly. It also doesn't tip back far enough for my comfort, so I took out my Dremel tool box and carved in another slot. The wood is light weight and strong but the hinges are lousy and cheap and not a great peace of work overall. But with a little handywoman skills it is fixable and usable. Not a bad deal for the price if you want to work a little and replace all the hinges with better ones.

It works fine and looks good.
It's not great quality though. It's quite obviously made out of junk, so don't expect much.It works great for my purposes of digital painting and reading; I put my Wacom tablet on it, so I am not painting flat down on the desk. I also like to use it for sitting at the desk handless reading. it saves my arms and my neck/back because I can have decent posture.

Good
Art supply's are expensive, for twenty dollars this is great. Yes it is flimsy, good for table top. In the art world you get what you pay for. This works great for me. I put it on a non sliding pad and place it on the coffee table. I remove the drawer while i work but return it when i am done. If not it would be in the way. Yes i recommend this to anyone who can not afford the 2 to 300.00 for an easel. Great for beginners or to travel with.

Perfect for my favorite size canvas, 9x12s
I really like the wooden canvas rest as it goes most of the way across the back of canvas. No annoying canvas wobbles when painting l/r edges. The tilt feature covers all the good angles and is a snap to move, no wingnuts to fiddle with.I thought the price just right and the quality was excellent. It's very pretty.
