I was very surprised how well this VR headset performs. I already own a moderately higher end VR headset (with head strap, adjustable lenses, bluetooth remote control, etc.) for my Google Nexus 6 phone (Android), but it does not work well with my two sons' iPhones (iPhone 6s & iPhone 7) because iOS can't utilize a bluetooth remote very well (unlike Android which can use it as a mouse). I tried a couple other VR headsets that claimed to be for the iPhone that had a "magnetic trigger", but the magnetic trigger button did not work at all on either iPhone, so we were constantly having to remove the iPhone from the headset, tapping the screen, reinstalling the iPhone in the headset...it was such a pain. Some of these VR apps actually require a screen tap to move walk or interact in the app, so it completely ruins the whole VR experience if you have to remove the phone to tap the screen every time.So as a last resort, I tried the DSCVR headset. Again, I didn't have much hope that it would work (especially not when all the others had failed), but something simple and more basic like this is exactly what the iPhone needs. The screen touch button is a simple, mechanical design, but very effective and works perfectly. I thought that I (and my sons) wouldn't like that these headsets don't have head straps, but honestly I'm liking that they don't. I was also worried about the the lenses not being adjustable, but that wasn't a problem either since all you have to do is move the the headset slightly closer or further away from your eyes (another reason why it's good that they don't have a head strap). The phone holder is a little clunky at first, but I quickly got used to it quickly and it seems reliable enough.Basically, these are the go-to VR headsets for the iPhone, which is exactly what I was looking for. The rest simply don't work for the iPhone.

Views are very clear. A little rough on the bridge of the nose. It is also challenging to get the strap over the phone, if you have a 6 inch screen. I also wish that it had a head strap.

I wanted a cheap way to try out virtual reality and this viewer works great. My only complaint is that there's no head strap. My arms get tired of holding it up to my face after 5 minutes or so. The good news is that some of the free virtual reality games are good enough that I actually want to hold the viewer up to my face for 5+ minutes. I have since tied some rope to the top and sides of this viewer and put some foam on the nose arc so it stays on my head without having to hold it. I'll eventually buy a more expensive viewer, but for now this one works just fine.

This is a simple to use VR viewer that is Google cardboard compliant. The BEST thing about it is that you do not have to remove your phone from its phone case in order to use this viewer. Although you may need to adjust the button thingy that touches your screen by gently bending it closer to the phone screen since your phone case may make your phone screen be offset a few millimeters from the front of the viewer. It doesn't have any headstraps, but who can watch more than a few minutes of 3D video without getting a bit dizzy. The viewer collapses into a smaller form for storage in the nifty case that comes with it. I bought several and gave them as Christmas presents.

We purchased 30 of these to be used with Google Expeditions in classrooms around our school. Within a year I have replaced nearly 1/2 of them due to breakage of the strap and shield. No response from manufacture, I would not recommend these viewers to anyone.

This VR viewer is portable, easy to set up, convenient with the built in button, and neat simple design. It was brand new in the box.

Do not buy this for any Large phones i recommend it for a kid or an elderly person with an iphone but thats it. I placed my note 9 in the device and it left two marks on the screen that do not go away

The DSCVR Headset viewer is a nice introduction into Virtual Reality. It's nice that the viewer can almost fit any smartphones and hold my phone firmly. It also doesn't cover the camera (for most smartphones) so doing AR games or applications is do-able!The quality of the plastic is good. Lenses are actually great compare to other viewers in the market.The only downsize for this product is that there is no headstrap. But I understand that this is a WWGC Product, therefore google doesn't allow one.Overall, it's a great way to view VR content. Easy to share to friends. Easy to carry around. (Have a hard plastic case, which protects the viewer perfectly!) Planning to buy some more for christmas gifts!

I am an interior design student and bought this headset for my portfolio, as a way to show my Yulio designs in an interview. Something great about this product is that it's completely plastic, making it easy to disinfect and clean between uses. It has a clean and visually appealing design that folds down nicely for easy transportation. It lived up to my expectations for sure. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who doesn't want to buy something as expensive as the Oculus, but wants something better looking than Google Cardboard.

-It's made out of hard plastic so its' highly uncomfortable on the ridge of the nose. Would've been nice if they made that area out of rubber/silicone for comfort.-The strap that holds the phone in place is not stretchy enough. You have to pull kind of hard to get it over the phone and into the latch. Almost seems like the strap could come loose because of how much you have to stretch it.-The same video seems to look more clear on the first iteration of the Cardboard (the one actually made out of cardboard)-The plastic piece that extends out seems a little flimsy. You have to be very careful when extending or retracting it-Kind of difficult to see where the centre of the phone/screen is when it's in place. On the first series, there was a big enough gap so you can see how to align itWould I recommend? No.

Quality product, well designed, relatively comfortable, and the button is perfectly placed and functional (it’s for VR-enabled interfaces). Would def recommend.
