Seems to be a great buy.
So I was somewhat dubious when my order arrived as the package was so light. Undeterred I unpacked the item and the first thing I noticed was the storage pouch. To be honest the pouch isn’t the best. Camouflage on one side, clear plastic on the other and no carry strap just a top loop, but then again this is purely a storage case so is t really particularly important.I took out the stick itself and I must say it looks great. It retains a natural wood look but not being completely straight, and retains the natural features of the wood. The engraving at the top is exactly as advertised, and the finish was a high gloss shine.I’ve seen other reviews that suggested the ferrule on the bottom is not suitable as it’s rubber, but it seems to be fairly hard so should last a fair while, and my local walking stick guy can replace for metal for only £1.50 so it’s not a big deal.Despite being very light this stick seems very sturdy. I leant by full weight on it (80g) and there was only the slightest flex.The handle grip is soft and comfortable as is the leather strap, although I would have liked this to be slightly longer, but that’s purely my preference and is not an issue as it is. The height is perfect for me too (5’10”), and the compass is a nice touch too.I’m planning on completing regular long off-road hikes, so time will tell how it ends up, but at this stage I would definitely recommend for the amateur walker.

Xmas present for my partner who's taken up cross country walking. Got him this so he doesn't have to keep finding sticks. Lovely colour and good height. Like the way it unscrews and comes in a storage pouch for the car. Only thing is the fittings don't look flush so will see how well it lasts. Partner loves it though!

Strong stick
This is a versatile item and one that is excellent value. It is strong, easily put together and taken apart. The carry bag keeps the three sections together so it fits well in a rucksack.

Not 47 inches
It is shorter than expected i measured it and it is 42.5 inches which is too short for me. I am 6ft2in tall and need at least another foot in length. Shame really because it is a quality item, well made and sturdy. I will keep it as a spare.
