This adapter is superior to the one which came with the Dell notebook with which it was purchased, mainly because of the elbow connection to the notebook (rather than the straight-on or perpendicular, design of the Dell adapter), because the iTEKIRO unit is less likely to get damaged. The iTEKIRO also has a light on the adapter indicating that it is powered on (as does the Dell adapter), and it charges promptly (like the Dell adapter), although it is somewhat larger than the Dell adapter. Price and the elbow design -- a critical feature make this a superior product.
