Not enough information
I wanted an up to date first aid book. This is a tiny book with not enough information. Couldn’t even find dehydration in the index.

Not very pleased with this purchase
Can't really speak to the content. I purchased the kindle edition and some of the words/letters are squished together on every page making it very difficult to read. Not very pleased with this purchase. Going to try and get through some of the content anyway.

See a vet
Basically, this book tells you to take him to a vet. Really? This was a total waste of money.

Great wealth of information
We are planning to travel more with our dog and I wanted to put together a dog first aid kit for emergencies. As a nurse I understand the basics of assessment and prioritizing situations when it comes to human, but when it comes to k-9 anatomy and assesments I am out of my comfort zone. Don't get me wrong I am not trying to be a vet. I am just trying to obtain vital info on how to assess various situations that could happen to my dog while we are out on the road and this book provides that info for me. Highly recommend this book.

Invaluable
Great illustrations, invaluable knowledge. I have only had to use some of the superficial first aid skills, thankfully, but learning life saving skills for my dog has provided confidence that I will know what to do if something tragic happens.

Easy!
Perfect size to keep with you! Easy to read.Personally, we did as the book suggested and read it completely once. When we did need it in an emergency situation, we knew exactly where to go in the book before heading off to the Veterinarian.

Good content, good price, but not properly formatted for Kindle
I bought the Kindle version of this book firstly to save cash (£3.79 vs £9.99 for paperback at the time of purchase) and secondly to overcome a problem reported in other reviews - namely that you can't use the contents / index to quickly navigate to a particular section in the printed book.Well, I did save money, and the navigation does indeed work fine on the Kindle, but there's a new problem: font sizing doesn't work on the Kindle version. The text stays locked at the smallest size no matter how much you amp up the font size on your device. For this reason I had to read the book via the free Kindle app fullscreen on my PC, even though I have an actual handheld Kindle. On the plus side, at least all the illustrations show up in the correct place, rather than drifting away from the accompanying text as they are prone to do in Kindle versions of other instructive books that I've read. However, the book *has* given me what I was looking for:- It's told me what kind of things I should have in my compact 1st aid kit when out on long, remote walks with my dogs- It's given me a foundation of doggy first aid knowledge which will hopefully guide me on what to do, and what not to do, the next time one of my suicidal little Beagles has a misadventure.

Great content, pity about the lack of page numbers
This is an excellent guide and very helpful. Written in plain text that is easy to read in a straightforward style. On the front cover there is an extremely helpful quick find guide to the potential problem you are seeking, however, what really lets this book down is that the page numbers are not actually printed on any of the pages, therefore rendering a quick find issue impossible in a true emergency when you have to flick through every page to find what you need to know. Such a pity for a great little book of wisdom and practical help.I would give the advice and content 5 stars (also UK based writing) but sadly the page references and quick find only merit 1 star.
