Not worth my time to try and make a nice router, when better
And now for our next lesson.....don't buy cheap tools. I used it once in the rockler table.....changed to a round over bit, turn it on, heard a snap, and then commenced dodging this thing as it took a tour of my shop, before I could hit the kill switch. I retrieved the bit, but this went in the trash. Not worth my time to try and make a nice router, when better, more cost effective tools are available.

This tool is absolute garbage! Do yourself a favor like im doing now and spend a couple more bucks on a brand name router you know wont almost kill you. After following directions to install bit i turned the tool on got about 3 inches into my cut and the tool started vibrating uncontrollably which made the cheap plastic base crack and start falling apart. Then the bit shot out like a rocket. saving 70 bucks on this tool cost me a new window.

Is this the best router in the world
Is this the best router in the world? No. However, it's a really good router... and it's price makes it an unbelievable deal. I've used this on the job and on my own projects and it never fails. I don't know how they can possibly afford to sell this at such a low price.

This router vibrated so bad you couldn't hardly use it
This router vibrated so bad you couldn't hardly use it! What made it virtually inoperable was the fact it would not keep the correct depth set. Spend the extra money and buy something else. Very disappointed!

Garbage...won't hold the bit straight. Vibrated uncontrollably and almost ruined my project.

I think it's due to the fact that the bits are not going all the way through the collar that holds them and people think they are in when they're actually not ( which would cause vibration) I actually took the collar out of the machine and he did it up to Red Hot and used a Cold Chisel to pry it open a little bit because I'm like this description says it is not a quarter inch
Ok so I've seen a lot of people talking about how it shakes uncontrollably. I think it's due to the fact that the bits are not going all the way through the collar that holds them and people think they are in when they're actually not ( which would cause vibration) I actually took the collar out of the machine and he did it up to Red Hot and used a Cold Chisel to pry it open a little bit because I'm like this description says it is not a quarter inch. It's slightly smaller which will not grab your router bit. So after I expanded the collar it works fine. You shouldn't have to do this to a brand new piece of Machinery but this is a cheap router.you get what you pay for

Do Not Purchase
Ibought this item to mill plastic materials. I ruined over $200 worth of items. The collet would not hold any of the 6 different brands of router bits that I tried. Everyone tracked out making the bit cut deeper than desired. I owuld not recommend this item to anyone;
