PEARL IZUMIMen's Select Liner Cycling Shorts, All-Season Base Layer, Lightweight & Breathable

I bought these to replace a clapped out pair of 3 year old liner shorts. Went for a short ride with my son tonight and I'm very happy with the initial performance and comfort. I was initially worried since the padding appears to be very thin. However, they are very comfortable and they don't bunch up around the crotch. There's plenty of padding around the sit bones. The shorts are very light, breathable, and will be great during the hot months of summer. I'm considering buying another pair. Great liners for the price.

I was excited to get these as they should have matched the shorts I purchased several years ago - the same description and label. They had less padding and were not something you would wear alone. Completely disappointed. I was OK with paying the higher price expecting higher quality, but what arrived was not what I was expecting. Save your money - Pearl Izumi has given up on market share and is milking their reputation to charge high prices.

The padding is bulky and uncomfortable. This is the second pair I have purchased. The first pair was perfect and two years later I bought the same pair but obviously they changed the padding. Terrible purchase -wasted $50.
