Wow, this magnetic mount works great. Just got it and tried it and works perfect with strong hold. The only question now is if the magnetic piece I use will impact the phone itself later. Hope it does not cause any defects the the workings of the phone. back in the day, magnets are usually used to help wipe out a hard drive. Hope this does not wiped out any memory on the phone later. Outside of this concern (TBD) product works great.

Not for rural travel - our roads are not paved and the half mile drive to main road causes many vibrations due to the washboard style formations - this causes the phone to fall off fairly easily..I've also noticed that there are some discolored pixels when the screen is completely black in the area where the circular magnet is most often tangent to.I'm concerned that the strength of this magnet may be interfering with other integral parts of the phone that could cause long term damage from the magnetism.

Inexpensive, simple, quality, and solid. Does the job perfectly. Couldn't be happier with it and very highly recommended.

This seriously has been the best phone car mount we have tried / used. Unlike most of the ones we had that once you put your phone in and then you have to adjust the side clamps around it-this one is so much easier and secure to use. You simply put one of the sticker style magnet pieces on the back of your phone, place the main base / mount on your air vent as described, and then put the back of your phone (magnet area) on the mount. Comes off super easy, can bring the mount with you to use in another car, and you can have your phone attached any direction you want. Awesome item!
