Top LCD for 3DS XL, YTTL Replacement Parts Accessories Upper Screen Display for Nintendo 3DS XL LL System Games Console

Replacement screen was correct for my 3DS XL (Super Mario Bros 2 Limited Edition Red) and works perfectly. The old screen had a huge crack (see attached picture), so this got it back up and running. The replacement screen was packed very nicely in a hard foam insert. The included screwdrivers and screen protectors were a nice touch.The actual replacement process was a pain but the blame for that lies with Nintendo! The guide on the ifixit website helped tremendously, but lacked detail for the actual screen replacement. Getting that ribbon cable out and back in was tricky. Be very careful and very patient. Expect to spend a couple hours for the entire process.

Fit perfectly in my sons 3ds xl (not the new 3ds version) and top screen works perfectly. Unfortunately I ripped the camera cable trying to roll up those ribbon wires, but they can only take so much abuse and we've been down this road last year replacing the case. To be honest, with the money I put into repairing this thing, I could have probably just bought a new one, BUT I am capable of doing it and I want him to see we don't have to live in a throw away society. On the very bright side, he is very interested in the technical side of how electronics work!

Screen quality appears just as good as the original screen and 3D functions normally. You will need to reuse the clear plastic screen protector layer from the old screen. YTTL was the vendor that I purchased from. Packaging was excellent with the foam padding inside the box cutout around the ribbon cable so that it could lie flat in the package and not get bent or damaged. be very careful while feeding the cable through the 3DS hinge area. I also added a layer of clear packing tape to the ribbon cable to reinforce it so it would not tear. New screen works great! It was annoying to install but I'm about to order a second to replace our other broken 3ds xl screen and will be ordering from this company again. Very fast shipping. The only downside is this screen has a silver edge that is visible when it has been installed and the original screen has a black edge so it blends in with the background.

the screen looked great in the box, however it is almost impossible to install. While I was trying to feed the ribbon though the hinge of the ds the ribbon ripped off. So I have no idea the quality of it. I ended up just throwing away the whole ds and buying a new one so much easier

Worked perfectly... Difficult to install, but nonetheless the screen is beautiful and has 3d functionality. Big ups

Worked great. I replaced the top screen of my old 3ds xl. It does not come with the sticky tape that holds the screen in but i got it off the old one without too much trouble.

Works great. Graphics and 3D function all just indistinguishable from the original.Just a bit tough to install but that's because Nintendo never intended customers to take the 3DS apart.

After the lengthy install process for replacing a 3DS screen. I removed the protective cover from the ordered screen to find that the adhesive had hardened and was almost impossible to remove. Due to how long it took to take the system apart I decided that I would rather try and clean the screen instead of leave all 100 parts on the table until a replacement could be shipped. After trying a handful of different cleaners with no luck I had to resort to using a magic eraser to remove the adhesive. With some elbow grease and patients I was able to get the residue off. That being said water and electronics don’t mix so I am not sure how long the screen will last. Other than the residue issue the screen works as expected and have had no other issues since installing it.

The part works great so far it was a bit on the hard side to put it in but if u r patient it's worth it
