Abrasive on skin, but works for cauliflower
Used this bag for cauliflower rice preparation. Worked well, was able to remove most of the liquids but the bag is very rough on bare skin; I ended up MacGyvering a towel/rolling pin setup to use with the bag to avoid direct contact with my palms. It wasn't easy to clean the pieces of food out of the mesh bag afterward either, but the bag itself is super sturdy. I'm sure if I used it for nuts rather than cauliflower, this cleaning issue would probably be alleviated somewhat.

Changed my life!
This thing has changed my life as far as draining homemade yogurt. I've been messing around w/cheesecloth for years, and mess is the operative word. I was never able to hang the cheese cloth which is the best way to drain yogurt, but this bag makes that a breeze. I just load in a new batch (it will hold a gallon of milk that's been incubating overnight) draw the pullcord tight and wrap it around a long handled tool (I use tongs), then rest the tongs across the sink over a colander. The mesh is fine enough that the whey drains, but the yogurt doesn't. Depending on how thick I want my yogurt I may gently squeeze the bag a couple times over the next hour as thick, drained yogurt tends to pile up against the sides of the bag while more watery stuff is still in the middle. When finished I dump out the yogurt, and wash the bag with the dishes in soapy water and hang to dry. Love, love, love!

Easy to use. Clean-up is a breeze. Mesh is too coarse for my liking.
I must say this is much faster, easier to use and provides for a quicker cleanup than my other method - which is using an old (clean) cotton t-shirt. I still prefer the way that almond milk turns out when strained through something that is more tightly woven - which captures all of the fiber.I just received this new nut milk bag a couple days ago, and was eager to give it a try. While it works good, it leaves the nut milk a bit too gritty for my taste.I'm making my almond milk in a Blendtec blender. Maybe I'm just running it too long, and grinding up the almonds too fine. I'll play around with the length of time, and blender speed settings...maybe I'll be able to make a nice smooth (not gritty) almond milk using this bag after all. I'll report back after a few tests.

This nut milk bag made all the difference!
I took the challenge and attempted to make my own almond milk, first with cheese cloth which resulted in a good a mount of pulp and nutty texture throughout my glass. I decided to invest in this nut milk bag and it made all the difference! Almond milk was very well filtered, with very, very minimal grainy texture afterwards (not 100% but significantly reduced such that it isn't very noticeable) and it rinsed out so easily that I wish this had been what I used my very first attempt. At least the cheese cloth experience was not enough to make me give up the process completely. Happy to have found this and have already recommended it to friends and family.

Bags are the best price available when I bought them.
These bags are great for sieving nut milks. They do allow some fine particles to pass through when you squeeze the bag. I like this attribute; As I prefer my nut milks a bit thicker than commercial nut milks. The pulp left behind is great, after drying, for use as a flour in baking. Simply add an equal amount of nut flour in exchange for grain flour. However, I have never exchanged more than 25% of the nut powder for grain. The muffins are great! My only negative related to this transaction is the very expensive postage and handling charge added to the purchase. The bags are very light! Other than this everything went well. I would use this vendor again.

If You Want Gaping Holes, This is the Bag for You!
I'm not sure if all the people leaving positive reviews were paid or had received a different product than I did, but I was far from satisfied with this nut milk bag. I was happy to contribute to the charitable cause this one advertises, and the price point was lower than some competition. The bag I received appeared to have been genuine, as it came with the instruction card and had the custom name label (“More Than A Nut Milk Bag”) on the hem. I blended up some almond milk using my Vitamix, and strained it using this bag. The first batch I started with raw almonds, soaked overnight. I put the milk from the blender into this bag and started “milking” the bag as directed to filter out the pulp. At even the slightest squeeze, the contents of the bag (pulp and all!) came rushing out through the mesh and into my bowl all together again. When I was finished, I had maybe a single pinch of pulp left over in the bag, and even that much was because I basically stopped trying to milk it altogether. All the pulp was in my milk. Plus side is that it does seem quite easy to clean, as the holes are large enough to not hold onto any residue. So a quick hand wash and it was good to try again. For the second batch, I decided to start my milk from some pre-blended almond paste or “butter”. So I first blended up some raw (unroasted) almonds into a smooth paste. Then I left a couple of tablespoons in the blender and added 4 cups of water. I also added the vanilla and a date or two to this batch, since I had such high hopes for it. This time the resulting milk was indeed much smoother since I had started with paste, but even after straining it through this bag, there was a significant amount of pulp and sediment in the milk. I was careful to not apply hardly any pressure to the bag this time, since I was wary from before. However, the result was pretty much as if I hadn’t strained it at all. The flavor was delicious, but it was still full of pulp! It is still good and nutritious and fine for smoothies, etc. But if I had wanted this outcome, I wouldn’t have bothered with the entire bag process altogether and saved the time straining and washing everything up.I decided to measure the mesh of this bag, and each hole is about 1mm wide. Sounds pretty small until you realize that this is more than large enough to let literally every little bit of almond right back through it. I ordered a (“Bigger, Better”) different bag that arrived quickly for me to immediately see the quality difference in the super fine mesh. The new one works fabulously and has a bit more capacity, so it is a clear winner. For just a couple dollars more, it is more than worth it now that I know this (“More Than…”) bag is the alternative.Don’t waste your time with this one. Get a Bigger, Better bag instead.

Worked well
After reading the product description, I decided to buy the 3-pack (which was a really good value) so that I could nest the bags inside each other if I needed a finer screen. I used it to thicken yogurt by squeezing out the whey. I used two bags nested to do so and it did a great job of removing a significant amount of whey from the yogurt after about 15 minutes of hanging. I have not used it to make nut milks, but so far the bags have worked for my needs and I really like that they are reusable. I look forward to using them to make paneer as well.
