If your cat loves toy mice, they will love this ball!
My precious cat Riley recently had an illness that used approximately 8 of her 9 lives. Eager to to give my 7-year-old cat (who was previously healthy) a distraction and also a way to keep her active, I looked for some toys that might keep her attention. She has plenty of mice, which she loves, but never had a ball, so this was one of the things I ordered that day. The other items were MUCH more expensive... you name it, I bought it. I easily spent a hundred bucks on cat toys that order, and guess which was her favorite? That's right: these relatively cheap mouse balls. She LOVES these things! Riley just cannot figure out why her mouse is stuck in jail, and tries so very hard to release him. She loves to carry it around by the tail. If your cat likes to play with mice, they will LOVE this ball! I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the quality - the mice are just like the ones you buy separately. I was expecting them to be cheap imitations given they can't get out of the ball, but they look identical to her beloved toy mice.My ONLY complaint is that I cannot leave the balls out for Riley to play with unsupervised due to safety concerns. This is a bummer given how much she loves them, but her paw occasionally gets stuck. She has always been able to free herself by shaking her paw around, but I can't take the chance she'd be unable to get it off. HOWEVER, she is polydactyl (extra toes) and therefore has thumbs, so perhaps a cat without extra toes & claws wouldn't have that issue. Still, I'd recommend supervising the first few play sessions with this toy, just to be sure your cat can safely enjoy it.

Nasty little balls
I am not impressed with these at all. My cat wants nothing to do with them and nether do I. It is a painted wire cage with a cheap mouse inside. Might work better on a carpeted floor but not great for my hardwood floors. The sound of wire clunking along does not incite the predator instinct in my cat and they don't roll very well ether. Also, do not step on them or they are toast.Would buy again if threatened with dismemberment (maybe...).I certainly would not recommend them to anybody you liked. Also, I would not give them to any dogs unless you want your dog chewing on stiff metal wire. Might work like floss but unlikely. More like damaging the gums, teeth and digestive track.

These are huge! My cats took all the mice out of the balls. I ended up throwing the balls away.

Great size for a ball!
My cats love this toy. The mouse inside of the ball pokes its head or tail out when you twist and turn the ball. My cat thinks he can actually get the mouse out and is quite a scene to watch when playing with these balls. The best part is that they are big enough to not go under our couch so I don't have to keep reaching under into the pit of lost cat toys.

Nice idea, but my fussy cat loses interest in these rather quickly, unless I join him in play, which isn't always easy for me. If I get down on the flooor with him, "I can't get up again" without a struggle (and he's no help!

My 4 cats liked these for about two seconds when they first arrived and only if I rolled them across the floor. Now when I roll them the cats ignore me.... no interest at all.

My cats chase these all over the place. They did manage to get one of the mice out of the cage, but that just gave them 2 toys instead of one since they play with the ball and the mouse even though they're separated.

OK. Not exactly what we were looking for. Our cat does not really play with them. Ziweto Pets Megapack The Interactive Toy For Cats, 4 Cat Toys / Accessories To Play With The Cat
