The Indy Jib HDV12 Camera Production Package is a turn key kit that has everything you need to add cinematic floating camera movements to your production. Keeps camera level while lifting camera vertically through range of motion. Independent film makers can set apart your film from the rest of the crowd. Built from solid, lightweight, aircraft aluminum to give it strength but manageable enough to transport. Can be broken down into 3 sections for storage and transport. The crane is finished in powder coated black to blend into the background. Using oil impregnated bearings that self-lubricate themselves the Indy Jib crane moves with accurate smoothness. The crane can be assembled in less than 5 minutes and is completely tool-less. Other cranes require tools, nuts, and bolts to assemble them. Crane can be used in automatic tilt (camera stays level through the vertical lift) and manual tilt (camera can be tilted vertically, independent of the crane). This allows flexibility in shots. Crane stand included. Counter weights (not included) can be purchased inexpensively at any sporting goods store to balance the crane. Camera, Rig, Counter Weights not included.Production Package includes:12' Indy Jib Camera Crane w/ crane stand (tripod not necessary).Heavy duty black nylon carry bag with 2 compartments to hold crane and stand.. 7" HDMI Monitor - Supports up to 1080P via HDMI (800x480 Native Resolution). cool jib
bought this jib because it came with the whole package. I've used it on a few videos and thought it got some really cool shots. I like that it has the option of going 8' or 12'. easy setup and easy to use once you get used to it. There were 2 downsides to this package - no locks and the LANC remote only worked with 1 out of 3 cameras I tried it with (2 Sonys and a Canon). The no locks is a pain, especially when you have to let go of the handles to press record on the camera 12' away.Overall, good product - made of metal and rugged.

I love it
First of all it didn't arrive when they said it would come, they were wrong, it came sooner than I expected. I know my wife was happy, now I can stop bothering her with me talking about it second of all it was wrapped up well. It took longer to unwrap everything than to set up the entire crane set, and I didn't even need the instructions. I felt like it was Christmas morning. Everything from the monitor down to the smallest wing nut, these guys are good. I had about 20 minutes to play with it and I must say that the pans are so so smooth it like gliding on clouds. Don't get the 8 feet jib, It's good to get the 12 feet Indy Jib just in case you need those extra feet down the line. You can always convert between the 12 feet and the 8 feet very easily It'll make an armature look like a pro. It's made of quality yet light material, even the stand is very sturdy and light. It took me about 3 or 4 minutes to break it down and put in the bag they send you, yes everything fits into the carrying bag. I wouldn't advise putting the monitor into the bag, get another small bag for the monitor your cords and the remotes. Might I suggest getting a Bescor MP-360 Full 360 degrees Motorized Pan and Tilt Head for that extra vestal camera movement and shots. That will be my next purchase, I have to wait till the right time to spring it on my wife, like Fathers Day or something, she'd kill me if I asked for it now.

The jib is a good product
I'm very happy with the jib, which did arrive sooner than expected. It breaks down into an easily manageable size with a good quality canvas bag to transport it in. Quick to set up. I had some issues with the rest of the package, but Todd at 24PHD made every effort to resolve them quickly and to my satisfaction.

Four Stars
Monitor has issues, and the crane has no brake. Takes a lot of practice to get the shot.
