Yay! Fantastic range and works well in Linux.
I just needed a simple and cheap Bluetooth dongle to use with my Bluetooth headphones. I will say that this exceeded my expectations.This worked in Linux without me having to set anything up. It pairs easily and connects fast.The thing I am most impressed with this is that it gets crazy good range! I am used to my phone's Bluetooth where I can only go a room over before I start to lose connection. With this dongle, I am able to go to my basement (2 1/2 floors down) and still have a great connection!

Terrible range. Not for gaming
The Bluetooth adapter has a very low range. Maybe less than 6 feet. Almost impossible to use for gaming with a Bluetooth controller.My intel Bluetooth adapter on my other machine can reach my pc from anywhere in my house.

Never worked.
This has never worked. I've tried it on a few different systems, but bluetooth never becomes available. I've installed the correct drivers, and it even shows up in the device manager as three different devices. Not much else to say, other than good luck.

Low Rent
This dongle did not sync up with my Stoon HV-960 Bluetooth headset. I tried referring to the instructions but, there weren't any directions to refer to. I had a member of my IT department try and sync the dongle up with my headset but, to no avail, he was unable to sync not only the headset but, any Bluetooth device. We tried installing the dongle on multiple computers but we had the same disappointing results. I purchased another dongle (KINIVO BTD400), and the the headset synced up swimmingly. Good luck, maybe your IT department is better than mine.

I would not recommend this item
The CSR software that comes with item caused many computer issues: Loss of network drivers, errors with being able to use Remote Desktop Connection. I had to fully remove item all the way down to the registry. I would not recommend this item.

Short distance
I was hoping this product would give new the same freedom (distance) as my phone. This is not the case. At best this product awards new 10 feet before the music I'm streaming gets really cruddy and eventually loses its signal. I wouldn't purchase this product again.

works great and is faster than a previous dongle I had and has a decently long range.

Don't buy this one!
Worked great while it lasted , it quit working after 2 months!
