Better than anticipated
This little thermometer suits my needs, and having the humidity on such a simple device is a treat! It is easy to read, and not complicated in any way. The easy-to-open battery compartment is on the back of the thermometer. It can be opened with a coin (I used a dime) by a half-turn. Insert the battery that came with the thermometer, then use the dime to twist the battery cover on. Also on the back, you can choose to use the kick-out stand so the thermometer rests at an angle. Or you can choose not to use it, because the thermometer is almost a half-inch wide and stands on its own. Your choice! There are 3 red buttons on the front of the thermometer. The bottom button switches between F and C. The middle one will display Max and Min temps. The top one clears it all out. One simple touch of a button; doesn't get any better than that!Easy peasy! If you want a thermometer to work quickly and easily right out of the box, this is the one for you.

Great readout, displays tenths of degrees
I bought the AcuRite (Amazon best seller) but it would only display Fahrenheit temps in odd-numbers. This one isn't as "fancy" but they use the same size screen to display just the temp and humidity so it's so much easy to read. And joy of joys, it resolves to a tenth of a degree which seems more sane than just showing every other temp step.Update: bought my third unit (this time from another vendor, "3GB Sales LLC " and the battery protector was missing, battery was dead, and the product did not match the pictures (lacked shown branding).

Small, I A Little Disappointed But For Some People, I Guess It Would Work
Well, I purchased 3 different brands of hygometer --- and this one is the smallest by far, and tiny buttons to use to adjust things. It did come with 2 batteries, only one is needed, one is a spare. It came in a plain box, with minimal directions inside. But when all 3 were put side by side, after a few hours, they were all reading different temperatures and humidity. The Temperatures varied by 1 to 2 degrees, and the humidity by 1 to 2 percent. So, I don't know if this is the more accurate of the 3, or not. But I think it is probably close to accurate --- but have no way to know.

No Bells and Whistles, but Does the Job.
Boy this thermometer was exactly what I was looking for to put on my dresser in the bedroom. Simple (no bells and whisles), just easy to read temperature and humidity in a nice compact package and it does the job.

Indoor Digital Thermometer
Quick delivery. Easy to read, visual very clear. I bought this product because for some reason my thermostat and ambient house temperature seem to live on two different planets. Having this on hand tells me that, yes, I am shivering because my home temp is 67 degrees, not the 73 as noted on the thermostat. BTW, my brandy new thermostat is as much in error as the old. Who, with any brains, locates a thermostat behind a closed door in a closet???

Simple easy to read.
After the original battery died, I replaced the battery with the same model CR1130. Now it is hard to differentiate the different numbers. All the LCD segments are partially lit. Only at certain viewing angles can I read the actual temperature or humidity. Looking directly straight on looks like every LCD segment is visible. Only at an extreme oblique angle can I read the actual temp and humidity.Addendum: Tried the LR1130 1.5V instead of the CR1130 3V and got much better result. Raised rating back to 4 stars.

Good but not GREAT
Good product for its use. Accuracy is off just a tad with humidity. Right out of the pack 2 batteries yes. one inside the unit one in the package. good plus. BUT! opened the pack and thought it was broken, replaced the battery with the one in the package and it worked great. Change out batteries about every 3 to 5 months. But easy to read.

Solid thermometer, just some annoyances for me
This little thermometer is an excellent, no frills thermometer. The display was large and easy to read. If that is all you need or want, this will meet your expectations.I did have issues with the stand. It was easy to topple over. With a dog in the house and my occasionally bumping the table, this fell face flat quite a bit.And the battery. I had to replace the battery about every 6 months. This in and of itself is not a big deal. But it takes a 389/390 battery, which I can't easy get at my local grocery store. So, I upgraded to a thermometer that takes AA batteries, which are much more universally attainable.
