I love these books!
These board books are a great way to introduce the impressionistic paintings to children in a fun way. I bought these for my daughter who reads a minimum of 10 books a day to her toddler. She was especially happy to get these beautifully illustrated books. As a former educator, I believe in educating our children about art, music and literature at an early age. Charlotte Mason said that by studying just three artists per year, your students will easily enjoy “a couple of hundred pictures by great masters hanging permanently in the halls of [their] imagination” (Towards a Philosophy of Education, by Charlotte Mason, p. 43).

Excellent board book
This is a nice board book. Our two year old son loves it. He references the book name, Picnic with Monet, every time we have a picnic. The book has a good ratio of pictures and words with a nice story feel to it. We like that it is Monet artwork on every page. We had the book as part of a three book set in a box, but this book got water damage when we left it out accidentally. We liked it so much we ordered a replacement copy.

Perfect for all children!

Colour on website is a bit off than print quality
Each page spread contains a rhyming sentence that relates to the painting presented on the same spread, which is good for younger kids.

Perfect art book for young children
I adore this book (and the other books in the Mini Masters series). Each page has a full color picture of a work of art and some text to go with it. The text is simple and lyrical, but not overly sappy or dull. This is one of my favorite books to read to my son (9 months old). I love that he can be exposed to famous artists in such a simple way.

Purchased this as a gift for a baby shower for a Momma who loves Monet. I wouldn't say it's a great book for a very small baby but I know as the baby gets older it will be great.

Fun way to introduce art
A Picnic with Monet has been a blast to read with my little one. She loves the rhymes related to the pictures and we like knowing that she's being exposed to classic art. We also own Quiet Time with Cassatt, which we enjoy, too. Definitely plan to purchase more Mini Masters books

Lovely, imaginative book
This book not only features Monet's beautiful paintings but the words are far above the quality usual found in children's books. It is enjoyable for adults as they share the artistic experience with their children. My eight month old baby loves it. It is one of her favorite books. I'm sure older children would appreciate it too. It's one of those books that parents won't mind reading again and again.

A great book that easily converts into a sensory story for children with multi sensory impairments. A hit with my class.

The print quality is horrible. Given this is a picture book, the print being dark makes it very unappealing.
