Now I have seen the size for myself I'll be ordering more.
The pages are 18cm wide and 22cm from the perforation line down to the bottom of the page. Paper feels nice and is not too thin but not tried with ink yet. Space between the lines is standard for shorthand note books. No margins are printed on the pages and there are no holes punched for use in a binder.By the way the perforation line on my pads is not easily torn. I had to fold the top page back along the line to tear it. Actually that might be an advantage in a way.If I bought a pad this size in a shop I'd expect to find a line printed down the middle. When I was a shorthand typist many moons ago I used to badger the person on charge of ordering stationery to buy this size for me instead of the usual pads and I would rule a line about 2-3 inches from the right edge. Want to know why ?If you are a right handed person you write shorthand from the left to the right stopping shy of the edge so your writing hand's wrist does not end up off the pad. Left handers should start writing between 2 or 3 inches in from the left so their wrist starts off balanced on the pad and can write all the way to the edge of the paper at the right. You'll both achieve more speed if your wrist is comfortable and is not falling off the edge of the pad. The empty margin can be used for additional notes or spellings of names in long hand. The wrist is not supposed to rest hard on the pad but merely touch the paper as your writing moves across the page.If you can tear the perforation carefully you could use this pad for writing letters as there are no margins printed on the pages.Edit. These pads are fine for writing with fountain pen ink. Just don't press too hard when you are making thick strokes. Another thing I have discovered is if you want to tear off some pages - only tear off pages in small numbers. I wanted to tear off quite a few and unfortunately I must have tried to tear off too many and the metal spiral suddenly came very misshapen. I had to remove all pages, throw away the scrap ones and keep the other (quite a few) in a loose pile.
