You push down on the big blue button and water comes out. I was expecting it not to work very well, but it surprised me. The part you are supposed to screw on the top of the jug, don't try to screw it down to tight because the plastic screw ring will keep popping loose. So just snug it lightly down and it will be tight enough to hold.

It not good for long enough because I used it in few years it broken ouch!
