Did absolutely nothing to raise the CYA in my pool!
I have used CYA since switching to a saltwater pool 5 years ago, and this brand was a complete waste of money. I would highly recommend using another of the brands here at Amazon. I used all 25 lbs in a 30,000 gal pool over the course of a month in an attempt to get the Cyanuric acid levels up to suitable, and each time I checked and re-checked, this brand did absolutely nothing to raise the ppm in my pool. Never have I seen a bucket as useless as this "whatever it was" that called itself Cyanuric acid. Plus it was a waste of $60 since by the time you will figure out that it is useless powder, there will be no way to return it. While there is the possibility that this was a bad batch that somehow became de-activated prior to shipment, my understanding of the chemicals involved make this very unlikely without the manufacturer knowing.

Works Great
Quickly brought my cyanuric levels up to desired level. Make sure to put the product in the filter pails as instructed. I didn't the first time and the pool cleaner sucked it up.Addendum: We are draining the pool to repair staining and wanted to drain it into the 1/4 acre pond. The salt was no issue because the fish can survive (even flourish) in brackish water. The chlorine wasn't an issue because the pump could be set to quit producing chlorine and it would all dissipate. We couldn't, however, remove the cyanuric acid which is deadly to aquatic life. Indeed the instructions state that it is illegal to dump in a pond. There is no way to remove the cyanuric acid chemically so now we'll have to drain the pond into an empty field (it won't hurt the grass).2013 Addendum: One tub lasted us for a full season. Just started on my second tub. I also ordered a 16 oz bottle of TAYLOR TECHNOLOGIES INC R-0013-E CYANURIC ACID to go with my Taylor Complete FAS-DPD Pool Water Test Kit K-2006 to accurately test cyanuric levels. I tried using the strips but they under-measured the dissolved amounts and I my cyanuric levels got too high.2014 Addendum: Our second tub is almost out - ordering our third tub. We add a pound of this in our filters with the filter running every time we add a bag of salt. We take our water to the pool store to be tested specifically to keep up with cyanuric levels. I find the home tests either difficult or unreliable. Reviewed prices and this remains the cheapest delivered price.2015 Addendum: While I'm still buying my cyanuric acid in 25 lb buckets, I found a different brand to be cheaper. I won't know if it works as well until later in the summer.

Great product for the price
It's 100% cyanuric acid and already comes in a bucket. Cant beat that! This is practically half the price of what you'd expect to pay in a pool store. My levels were low and got them up about 30 ppm. There are some complaints of the granules not breaking down if you pour into the pool. All you do is put it directly into the skimmer, some use a cheesecloth like material. Flowing water dissolves large quantities without a hitch.

So far so good!
Got tired of spending so much money on pool chemicals from the local store, so bought this in bulk. Keeping the stabilizer at proper levels is the key to saltwater pool chemical maintenance!

It is a chemical...works as described, if used as directed.
Container is solid, chemical works great. No issues and the shipping was great. It is important to note, this is not a chemical which needs to be adjusted daily or weekly (once or twice a season is all the adjustment needed...and do so AFTER the pool is otherwise balanced. This locks it in place.

I have a salt water pool, and of course ...
I have a salt water pool, and of course with that it needs stabilizer since i dont use chlorine tablets that have it built in. This has kept my Cyanuric acid in safe range with no issues.
