The Dragonfly Ultralight Rain Tarp is my new camping, backpacking and hammocking tarp. I especially love the shape which allows me to customise the layout depending on the landscape of where I'm camping. The seams are well stitched and the seam tape is of high quality. The grommet points are reinforced and secure. This tarp stood up to some serious winds last weekend. I used the Drangonfly Rain Tarp while hammock camping in 25mph winds and with rain. I stayed dry, my gear stayed dry and all the stakes stayed securely in the ground. The tarp is also not noisy in the wind which is great. I was wondering if this tarp was worth the price and I can assure you it's worth every penny. If it was ever damaged I would purchase another exactly the same. So far so good! I am really liking this tarp! It’s a great option for those that want a good sized, light tarp for backpacking and not wanting to spend hundreds on other ultralight tarps out there.According to my scale the whole kit comes in at 26 ounces but comes with everything you need for set up, including 8 stakes (8 grams each), 2 extra pieces of 10’ line, and lines for each of the 8 attachment points and either end of the ridge line. When I ordered it, I was a little worried that the green color was going to be too light, but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The color is a darker green and blends in very well when I’m out in the woods.As a hammock camper, I love the option to fold in the outer sections for doors. I had to get creative on how to secure them once closed, but something easily overcome. After I set it up, the ridge line measures 11 ft 9 inches with each half stretching out 4 ft 9 inches. With the “doors” closed, I still had plenty of room for a hammock with about 7 feet of interior room. I haven’t had it out in the rain yet for a true test but the ridge line seam looks well sealed. This is a fantastic addition to my set-up!

This is a pretty good tarp albeit one fatal flaw for me. The guy lines are very a very light gauge, which would be good for shaving off a few grams, but it’s bad in the fact that the tensioners loos on their own when put under just enough pressure to make firmly taut. I would tighten them on one side and the other would pop loose, so I had to send it back because I don’t want them coming undone under a rainstorm. I ended up buying one from Outdoor Vitals and it’s very similar, it weighs a tiny bit more, but it also fits my hammock better since it’s longer.

Packs down very small, comes with everything you need, it’s clearly a quality item, at a price similar to low cost tarps I have purchased in the past. Unless you want a DCF tarp this SilTarp is the best bang for your buck I’ve found. If you’re reading all the reviews, you’ve found the best one I could find for the money. The green is a darker green than the way it looks on the Amazon page. The tie outs and aluminum stakes are much higher quality than typically included.

There is nothing to dislike about this tarp.Amazingly light weight and is rather large.I would definitely recommend this tarp for anyone that’s outdoors.

This is a great tarp. For its size it's very light, seems to be made out for quality materials. I'm in the woods alot and even if I'm not using it to cover a hammock, I use it in a more open design to put gear, other equipment and my self out of the rain.

Very impressed with this tarp. The details are well thought out and the quality of the materials are top notch. Set it up in the front yard to get a feel for the size...and it’s BIG! Can’t wait to take it camping.
