Wild PlanetTuna Wild Skipjack Light, 5 oz

I really liked the flavor of this brand of tuna. It tastes more like "tuna" than the usual canned varieties do. I recommend using it without fillers (e.g. not tuna salad), because it can stand on its own. I enjoyed it in a melt and in a niçoise salad (which is basically just lettuce, tuna, and a nice vinaigrette).Unfortunately, it's really expensive; even on sale, it's more than I like to spend on a budget lunch protein. And the easy-open top is not very easy to open. You have to pull on it carefully to avoid spilling contents, and the edges it leaves behind are sharp. I would have preferred a can opener style.

Although expensive in price, this canned tuna is worth its value in terms of taste. Both my husband and I were impressed with how it tasted when serving/eating it. Compared to the other commercial brands, this canned tuna is heads above in its preparation, presentation and of course, flavor, when consumed!

I was afraid that without any salt, this tuna would be tasteless. But in fact, it's very tasty, and is also more tender than most canned tuna I've purchased. I'm delighted to re-order it.

I loved it ....almost as good as the Wild Planet albacore. A tad more expensive, but “no added salt” makes for a healthy snack ! The “no salt added” Albacore is also surperb. The “easy open” cans make both of these excellent choices for “Survival Paks”.

It’s a little pricey but taste fresh and not like tin or anything else weird that can be off putting about tuna.
