Improved 14cm Loop Handle Pot, Silver

This is a great pot but please read this whole review...About the pot itself: The pot is nice, heavy duty but not super heavy. The components seem good (except the plastic clips) and the concept is really great. I'm very much looking forward to getting a lot of use from it. I think the 16cm size is overkill for backpacking but if you're car camping then go for the 16cm for sure! The smaller sizes are more pack friendly though.BUT:I ordered this item not realizing it was being shipped from a third party. The item arrived and was the old plastic clip model. I was quite upset about this and contacted amazon AND firebox directly as the listing had specifically indicated that it was the improved version. Firebox informed me that some people had old stock with the plastic clips and they had just jumped on this listing and were selling the old style as the improved style. Firebox was very helpful! Amazon was very helpful as well. The third party seller outright lied to me when I reported the problem and told me that the plastic clip model was the new model "replacing the steel clips which caused people problems." Lies of course, and lies that make zero sense on top of. Who is going to believe that plastic is better than stainless on an item that goes in the fire??? So I got a refund, sent the bad item back, and ordered again this time making sure it was coming from Firebox/Amazon, not a third party.As I said Firebox was super helpful and friendly. PLEASE do not order this pot from anyone except direct Amazon fulfillment and Firebox. It should say "Sold by Folding Firebox and Fulfilled by Amazon." so you know that you're not going to end up in the same situation I did. The "improved" pot is great. Obviously you don't want the old pot with the plastic clips that will melt off and damage the pot when hung over a fire.

This is probably the best stainless steel billy pot on the market and the improved steel wire lid locks are a thousand times better than the old plastic ones. They can also lock the bail in an upright position to pour liquids (ingenious).14cm is perfect for 1-2 people. It is much heavier than its aluminum and titanium competitors, but the quality is superior; very sturdy and solid. The addition dish is also a nice bonus.Wash thoroughly before use.

Got to say I'm very unimpressed with amazon for this one. I ordered this zebra pot with the improved metal clips that lock the lid down, and when it arrived it had only the plastic white clips with it. For not getting what I ordered it only deserves one star if you ask me. Pretty unprofessional. No problems as far as the pot goes, definitely a great billy pot. In my opinion best on the market.

the ability to keep the lid on while traveling is marginal

Nice quality. Too bad the handle has problems. For one it doesn't fold down out of the way completely for better storage in a pack. ?And why put plastic clips on this to melt? The accessory 'pan' is not a steamer, no holes for steam to go thru, therefore its a dish. Forget this one, and look at some of their other products, or go with the MSR

The *only* improvement they could make would be to reduce the diameter of the nested bowl just a bit, and then grind two edges flat, so it could be inserted sideways to act as a breadpan. Only possible improvement.My go-to pot for camping for 1-2 people.

This pot is well made and half the price of other bush pilots. I bought it for use with my Solo Stove Titan. The Titan stove fits inside this 14cm pot like they were made for each other.The pot comes with a pan that normally nests inside the pot. With the stove stored inside, the pan will not fun inside. However, once the stove is inside and the lid is on the pot, just flip the pan over an put it on top, over the pot lid. The stainless lid clips will hold the pan on top with everything secure & closed. Again, you would think it was designed to do this.At 1/2 the cost of the Solo Stove 1800 pot, this is a great deal!

I Love this Billy! It fits my bush stove perfectly, as well as fuel and a lighter. It's big enough to heat 8 cups off water in (12 minutes on my Toaks titanium siphon stove), yet is the perfect size for my dash bag in my truck. It has the metal clips, which fit loosely, as well as the plastic clips. I simply used my strength to push on the handle where it bows out slightly, and voila! The handle and clips hold tightly and securely. I love this Billy pot and will use it as my EDC in my truck.
