All you'll ever need to know!
I liked the compact, user-friendly format that ranges over most of what you probably already know if you're a Holford follower but in a fresh and exciting new way. Great book and a great motivator!

Makes a lot of sense. Easy to read and quick to get started. Very motivating - Some very easy to follow recipes too!

having read all of it in one night - I found the repetitiveness irritating and nothing more than a page filler - don't waste your money

great advice
Why did I like this book, because for once of the addition of exercise as well as healthy eating advice. Well done Patrick and Kate. These two elements must be there and they are in very simple easy to work with format and with the addition of online checking on performing the exercises, really helpful. The only slight drawback for me is that it is not completely vegetarian when it comes to meal ideas. However I probably have enough vegetarian options in his other books to compensate but getting the missing omegas that would come from the fish side of the eating plan, I often wonder if I get that balance right being total vegetarian. Not easy so maybe somewhere Patrick there is this information and no Flax seeds are not the option I'm looking for!!! Still a great book.

Excellent
Learnt masses from this book. All about the insulin spike. Patrick Holford writes very well and with a lot of common sense. Includes exercise programme at the back for those inspired to follow it.The main thrust of this book is to understand how the body processes sugar & carbs and the production of insulin in the body - preventing weight gain. Worth every penny. I ordered five over Xmas and gave as a stocking fillers - well timed - no offence taken :)

Nothing new to warrant here
there is nothing new to warrant buying this book. they are jumping on the intermittent fasting bandwagon in what appears to be a hastily written book and not up to Patrick Holdfords normal standard. I dont agree with all the snacking that you are supposed to do as this will still impact your insulin and Leptin levels despite being low glycemic.

It was bought on a recommendation and has been read from cover to cover. Its recommendations will beput into practice very shortly. It is well written and very succinct and hopefully I should see some positiveresults.
