PlayaPup Dog Sun Protective Lightweight Shirts for Male Dogs, UPF 50+

I've got a toy breed pup with a short, black coat - he needs something to keep the direct sun off him while riding in my convertible or playing/walking outdoors for an extended time. This is a great alternative to keeping him indoors while I'm outside with him. High neck, enough stretch and easy wash & wear (cold wash, short hang dry time). And he looks great in it! The material is thin enough that his harness fits over it without adjustment when he's in the car... all plusses in my book.

Living at by the beach, having a UPF sun protecting shirt for our canine son is a must have! It is great to have because we are able to have him wear it when it is extremely hot and sunny and he also wears it when going in the ocean and under his life vest. We love the style and design of the shirt, but it does run a bit bigger than the normal size your pooch would wear. We ordered his normal size even after looking at the size chart and guidelines, and still, it was a bit big on him. We ended up getting it tailored and now it fits him perfectly. Definitely recommend this for those hot and sunny beach days!

Bought this for my Maltese for our vacation in Puerto Rico. Happy to report that my dog did not burn in the hot sun and looked adorable the whole time.

I have a 120lb Rhodesian Ridgeback who likes to go backpacking with me, but he has very little fur so his packs rub him raw. He gets really bad saddle soars under his armpits and most shirts I can find in his size don't have sleeves or cover that area. This shirt has sleeves but they are rather skinny relative to the size of the shirt and they are not placed well for my dog. The sleeves would do more harm than good for him. Perhaps if his chest were wider, like maybe a bulldog?

Great shirt except for sizing. We purchased a 3x that seemed too tight for our broad chested boxer, so ordered a 4x. Now it is way too big in the neck, especially when wet. Probably should have stayed with the smaller size. But, he and his sister were "movie stars" on the beach! Keeps the sun and sand off.

I absolutely love this shirt. It fits my pup absolutely perfect and he seems comfortable in it. It’s a beautiful color and exactly as pictured. My pup has very thin fur and gets sunburned if outside too long, so this shirt is exactly what he needed. I’m so happy it fits so well. I highly recommend this shirt.

Our dog sprouted a mole that was found to be malignant. Living in Texas, and always walking in the sun, we wanted a cover to protect his skin from further problems. We purchased this shirt and found it meet our needs. I love that he has the UV protection now. It is a little pulled under the arms but otherwise fits well. We did go a size up as recommended. I wish they were made sleeveless.
