iCracked iPhone 5 Screen Replacement Kit (White)

Not a good part. Does not match the old part or the photos in the instructions. Screen is totally dead.See photos. There is a band of three contacts that should not be present on this part. Original part on the left matches photos in the instructions and video's available online. Photo on the left shows tab with three copper contacts. Why are these left exposed. Nothing in the instructions discusses this.I want a replacement that works, not non-standard part. I wonder if this might be for another phone, however, the box clearly stated iPhone 5.Additionally, box was sealed together so tightly I had to tear it apart to open it. What is with that? Can't you make it easy to open?Bottom line: Need your phone back online. Don't buy this product. It is substandard junk.

Product came in professionally packaged and works once installed. It also comes with a well detailed installation document.My problem with this particular style of replacement (screen and digitizer only, no home button or front camera and speaker, as well as what seems to be a thicker assembly than original. Once the home button is installed it is over a mm deeper than the original which was flush to the front surface.As far as the home button and other components, this is where the majority of time was spent. The old home button, in at least half of the instances I've used this type of replacement, does not come out with it's double-stick-tape seal intact. While this kit is better than most in that it includes some pre-scored double-stick-tape, but there is not a cutout for the home button seal. In this case, since I wanted the seal (not having one makes the phone a little more prone to water damage, how often have you seen water drops hit the front of your screen?), I attempted to cut out some very thin strips of the tape, to my endless frustration.The worst part of this is that I thought I was getting the complete kit which includes all of the above, as the description said complete. The fault is mine since I didn't read the other purchasers questions, and this was one that was answered.

My iPhone screen was not cracked; however, 1/3 of the entire right side of the screen stopped functioning. Part of my passcode was on that side, and I could not even unlock my phone or back it up to a computer, as you need to be able to enter your passcode to "trust" the device. Apple was going to charge me $135 to replace the digitizer, which they said was likely the problem. I decided I was not going to pay that amount for a phone that wasn't even worth that amount of money, but I did want my photos and notes (I was in the middle of planning my wedding, and ALL of my wedding notes/finances were saved on my phone and not backed up, dumb, I know), and Apple said there was no way to back up or access those without replacing the digitizer, so I took to Amazon, read a few reviews, and decided to go with this product. The product was very easy to install. I am not tech savvy at all, but I was able to follow along with the youtube video and replace this without any difficulty. Well, the only difficulty I had was one of the screws inside my iPhone was stripped, but I remembered reading about using a rubber band to remove stripped screws, and I had no trouble after that. I did have to try gently cleaning/clicking the new digitizer into place a couple times before it worked, but, eventually, it all came together, and I cannot say this was due to the product itself, as the digitizer on my phone was the one that went bad, so I think it was simply the connection that was bad initially. I cannot speak to how long the product works, as I turned my phone into Best Buy, and purchased a new one shortly after replacing the screen, but it worked very well the week for which it was used, and if Best Buy can't tell the screen was replaced...

I was able to successfully install this replacement screen and both touch and display work so far. The guide was also well written and easy to follow. However, I am giving this only three stars because the two posts that you screw the home button bracket to are short by about 0.1mm (measured with digital calipers). When I assembled the home button bracket to the short posts, the home button switch was depressed and the home button could no longer click. As soon as I loosened the screws, the click came back. This dimensional flaw resulted in a functional fail. I had to add some spacers to prop up the home button bracket before screwing it down in order to get the click to work. This is not ideal because it is imprecise and the amount of screw engagement is decreased, meaning that the home button might become loose over time. The clear bracket for the front facing camera was also just a little bit too tall. Despite the dimensional discrepancies and the need for some improvisation, this replacement kit got the job done. Hopefully it will last!

Lo schermo è di ottima fattura, arrivato in tempo e il touch e la qualità dell'immagine sono pari all'originale!Ora passiamo ai difetti ed ecco il perche delle mie 4 stelle: lo schermo era di quel mezzo millimetro piu grande della struttura dell'iphone che bastava x non farlo agganciare... Nulla di irrimediabile, 5 minuti di carta vetrata e un po di pazienza ed è andato tutto a posto! Altamente consigliato! Era la mia prima esperienza, laboriosa ma in 1 ora me la sono cavata senza danni collaterali

I was delighted to buy this product. I wasnt expecting a high quality product with amazing packaging, very detailed information on how to install the screen and all the tools needed. I would definitely recommend buying replacement screens from iCracked in the future.

bien recu l ecran . bien emballé cependant il ne fonctionne pas. et j ai verifié avec un autre telephone iphone 5 et un autre ecran, le probleme vient bien de l'ecran qui est hors service ( pas tactil)

Brilliant! I am known for breaking phones and it was a matter of time before I broke my iPhone 5 screen. As Apple have now put the price of repair up I thought I'd give it a go myself. I've previously done my own repair on an iPhone 4 and the results were disappointing to say the least but you get what you pay for and I used a cheap replacement screen from ebay. The difference between that one and the iCracked screen is like night and day. Very easy, if a little fiddly, to do. I really struggled with the suction cup but once I put some packing tape over the screen (this took a couple of attempts to get it bubble/wrinkle free) it was really easy. I definitely recommend this product and if you work along with the video (link comes with the screen) it's virtually fool proof.
