Retractable BLACK Reel With Belt Clip For Key, IDs, Badges (Sold Individually)

This clip has served as a badge clip for several years for where I work. It is better than a lanyard since it just clips to my shirt rather than having something hang around my neck to get caught when I bend over. It has been a good clip so far and I'd order it again if this one breaks.

I've gone through several of these over the last few years. In my experience, you can expect it to last 6 - 12 months of daily use before something wears out. I'm fine with that, it's a cheap consumable. I find this particular model just fits me better on my belt than others I've tried, such as the one my employer provides. Other reels have proved to be slightly too big or awkward against my hips, or not to fit my onto my belts well. This is just the ticket for me, though obviously your mileage may vary. I'm gradually stocking up on these so as to have enough to last me til retirement! If they could figure out how to make the cord more durable I'd give it 5 stars.

I work in a library and I'm constantly opening locked doors. This is a great option to use for any key that you'll be using a lot, instead of having it in your pocket, purse or on one of those curly, stretchy arm bands that hurts and leaves an unsightly mark. So simple to use. I put it on my belt loop and it stays put. The only complaint I have is with the cord inside. After awhile the black nylon or whatever is covering the "fishing line" starts to fray and comes off. So far it hasn't snapped. Whatever the line is made of is really strong.

I had gotten a similar item for free. Being free, of course it wasn't the highest quality. I thought the idea of it was unnecessary, but I found it quite useful. I was able to keep track of my keys, and was able to use them without removing them. Mine soon broke, and I found myself in dire need of a new one.This product is great, and very damage resistant. It has withstood being dropped, thrown, and whatever else you could imagine. For the price, it is a very high quality product.

Mandatory for employment, we wear our identities visibly at all times. A badge with photo and name strapped to us like tagged cattle. It's required to get through parking gates and doors.I wanted to replace my company issued reel with this longer 30" reel. I must have ripped through a dozen dinky short ones.Now, not only can I reach the receiver from inside my car while attached to my belt loop, but the extra reach allows me to I win every helicopter fight.

I got two of these and one is working perfectly and the other is useless after 5 months (the nylon cord won't get back in the roller, so the retractable attribute is out). It's probably bad luck because the one that still works was under heavier use than the one that broke. So, if you are not very unlucky you will get a good product. Hopefully! :)One more thing, if you have nice leather belts, don't use it cause the two plastic stripes on the inside will scratch anything (I messed up a couple of belts without knowing).

The unit I bought broke after two weeks of use. I have used this type of units before for years without any problem. Defects happen with any product that is no big deal it's part of life. I notified the company and received an email two days later telling me to call them before 3PM EST, I live in California so I have to call before 12PM. I finally have a weekday off so I decide to call only to have to speak to someone named Jason who has an accent so thick I can barely understand him. He notifies me that it is impossible that it has a defect and that I don't know how to use it. He then ignores all my statements and continues to repeat 'the proper procedure' three times in a row till I finally hang up on him.I don't expect much from a cheap product, I do however expect a company to value customers. This is sadly a case of a bad product and a bad company.BUYER BEWARE 'Badge Reels & More'Update 1 hour later: They canceled the replacement for the defective unit and banned me from buying from them due to my review.
