Nautical Collection Japanese Glass Fishing Floats Assorted Colors Family Fish Net Buoys Large Set (6" Blue)

It is my favorite blue but there are spots on the ball where the glass is clear! That makes me think it is just a painted ball so it will not hold up outside under the eve which is where I am going to put it. I have several glass balls like this and none of the others have clear dots in the glass. I would not buy another one, and I was wanting more but not these.

This is nearly as good as the original floats actually found washed up in a Pacific Island. Only difference is the rope tying it together probably won't withstand the outdoor sun like the originals. Glass is not as thick either. However it is authentic reproduction. I am pleases

I bought one of these as a test to see if I could cut a hole in the top of one with a dremel and stick a light inside of it for our tiki room. There is a glass disc that caps off the top which was pretty easy to get through with a diamond tip but did take some time and water. The inside of the glass ball is painted it's color, therefore the glass is not dyed the actual color. So if you do open it be careful not to get water inside as it can wash away the paint on the inside that it gets its color from. Otherwise a great deal for the price.
