I fish in the surf and was looking for a product to protect me from the harsh sun that would also be quick to put up and take down if I decided to move to another spot. This item fit the bill perfectly. Here are the critical pro/cons, followed by a few tips on using it.The tent is roomy, and I was able to put two full-size beach chairs inside with plenty of room left over for a cooler or other gear. Since the tent is very light, it was easy to lift and angle it to maximize the sun protection while still being able to see my rods. The same is true if the wind is blowing strongly - angle the tent to allow the wind to hit the sides. I found the sand pockets very handy to weigh down the sides and did not use the included pegs. A few handfuls of sand and the tent was stabilized. The velcro sides on the pockets make it easy to empty the sand when ready to pack up. The windows were great for cross ventilation, and the flaps would remain rolled up using the color-coded toggles. The front apron is a nice feature. While I did not need it when surf fishing, I could see how it would be perfect for a picnic and keep the food and kids off of damp or buggy ground. One negative aspect of the tent is that it is only water resistant and not waterproof. Not a big deal as it was not made for camping or foul weather use. The other is that it does not perform well in a really strong wind - but was not designed for that either. In short, it works fine in the typical mild weather scenario.Here are a few tips. When setting the tent up, only lock the lower part of the legs. When you pull the cord, the upper section automatically locks. I was confused about this and tried to lock both sections the first time I put it up. When packing the tent, extend the apron and center the top where the cords are in the middle of the apron. This allows you to wrap the unit into the smallest package to stuff back into the carrier. This may be obvious, but do not try and open the tent if a strong wind will hit the front! It will become a kite! Instead, angle the tent away from the wind, open it by pulling the cords on top and then position it. I was given this product to evaluate without any expectation on the part of the vendor of a positive review.

We've seen these at the beach before and finally decided to get one. It is very spacious inside. It is perfect for the beach because with the front open and the large windows you can have a view of the beach all the way around but still be shaded from the sun. It also makes a great play tent for our children to play legos outside and stay out of the sun. There are times that there are 6 kids playing in it. Even with the door shut, they still have room to play. Setup is also easy enough for the kids (ages 9-12) to do themselves in less than a minute. The velcro sand pockets on the sides are great to fill with sand or rocks to hold it in place then they unvelcro to dump the sand before putting it away. There are also stakes and guy lines if its windy.

FANTASTIC TENT! We bought this tent for a trip to the beach with our children and grandchildren. What a great buy. It is amazingly simple to set up; one person can do it with ease. It took about a minute to unpack and setup with the super smooth opening mechanism. The inside is very spacious, and there is plenty of headroom even for adults, making it easy to move around inside. It is the perfect play area for the young children to be able to get out of the sun, and the extended porch area is a great idea, making the floor space even greater and letting you sit in or out of the sun. It also gives a way to close up the tent if you want to take a walk and leave your area. The three large screened windows provide excellent ventilation and give a very open feeling so you see all the action. The little pockets inside the tent are a very convenient place to put sunglasses, sunscreen, water, etc. The sand pockets and guy lines give two ways to secure it in place. Easthills Outdoors thought of everything. Highly recommend.

We took this on vacation with us to Florida beach. It packed well in the van. I'd say it was fairly easy to put up and take down. Easier with two people, but I managed fine by myself also. It was difficult to put up on a windy day.I liked the windows on all sides. We were able to watch our kids from all sides. This also allowed for good air. All windows had shade covers which we could raise and lower as the sun moved. The main front opening has the option of zipping up if need be--We didn't use this feature on this trip but could be useful if you needed privacy like changing clothes or keeping belongings out of sight. It fit 2 adults and 3 kids well.I don't like taking a lot of stuff to the beach but we usually do end up taking a lot of stuff. This was a nice piece for long days at the beach--good shade, rest area, and place to keep our belongings out of the sand and heat. The carrying bag was also useful.

Where do I begin? First, it’s true, everyone that has seen this tent wants one or has already ordered one. The thing literally takes seconds to set up and break down, it holds up great in the wind, and has a lot of versatility like a regular over night camping tent, like window flaps, a full zip door to protect personal items when you get in the water, a great shoulder bag to carry it in, storage pockets, a hook to hang a light, fan, whatever from the ceiling (we have actually talked about using it to camp overnight at the beach campground). There is SO MUCH space. We put the cooler and two beach chairs inside and we still have plenty of room. I like that it has the bib in front, gives the tent an even more roomy feel, and it’s perfect for when I lay out but want to keep my face out of the sun. Oh! And when you’re done, you can actually get it back in the bag it comes in, I can’t get it back in all by myself (I’m tall so my wing span may help with doing this independently). I make sure to sweep and air it out when I get home to keep it from smelling or deteriorating. We have used it at least 5-7 times and it’s still like new. People drive passed us on the beach and point because of their pure envy of our tent’s unique and functional design. I cannot say enough good things about this quality product.
