Sesame Street 3 Book Play-a-Sound Set Paperback – January 1, 1893

Arrived broken.

My two year old HATES being stuck in his car seat, so I have a whole library of sound stories to try to make it more bearable for him. I was thrilled when I found this one- he loves Elmo, and you get 3 books in one! The problems we have had: (1) the yellow music bar snaps on to the side of each of the three books, in a different position to let it know which songs to play. The problem is, it is attached so loosely that it is very easy for my son to remove it, and he lacks the coordination to put it back together. This is obviously a problem for me as I am using it in the car and I can only reach back to help him when we are stopped at a light. But even if you are not using it in the car, do you really want a toy that constantly has to be fixed by an adult? (2) The sounds that this book plays are of a lower quality than most of the other sound story books I have seen. It is sort-of an electronic musical box type of sound, with little chime versions of five songs. My son seems to like it just fine, but as a parent, it is significantly more annoying than most comparable products.I was really hoping this one would be great and I could order some more books of this design, but this one has not worked out for us quite as well as I had hoped!
