I like that there are so many affordable competitors to Philips' Hue bulbs on the market these days. That bastion of corporate greed needs to be brought back to reality with its pricing. And I particularly liked that these bulbs would work with a strip I already owned and without the need for a hub. They are easy to install if you can follow instructions, and they produce colors with great depth. The biggest disappointment I felt has to do with the brightness, or actually dimness, of the colors these bulbs can create. For every possible hue you can customize in the PlusMinus app, they available brightness is very limited when compared to the brightness you get by sliding the cursor into the center of the color picker where the color is removed and turn to pure white. It's literally like night and day, with the contrast so high it causes me discomfort, and I have to shield my eyes from the stark white light flooding the room where only seconds before such soft, luscious color had illuminated everything with a richness that sets a great mood for relaxation or other fun activities. All of the power that goes into the white light is not matched by the colored light by a lot. Where is all that intensity going when I set my bulb to a warm, tawny orange and crank it to 100%? Because my horny orange pales in comparison to the glaring white forcefield that nearly strikes me down when I swipe the color over into the white zone. Is that some kind of added home security feature? Can I use that to stun would be sex perverts intent on ravaging me in my slumber? If not, then there's some explaining that needs to be done.

These lights were so easy to install. I love that if you just program one bulb, the others will automatically connect.I used the four light bulbs in different rooms and was able to name them on the app. This sync’d with Alexa as well so now, all I have to do is say, “Alexa, turn living room lights on”. You can even group multiple bulbs to turn on “all lights” or whatever you so choose the name the group.Picking the color is fun. My husband loves to change the color and turn off the nights so when I ask Alexa to turn on the lights, it’s never the same color.Lastly, you can set timers with this which is handy. I use it for a last alarm in the morning. The “it’s really time to get up now” alarm. It turns the lights on to a dull blue so it’s not so jarring in the early hours of morning.All in all, a great product.

Bought these and they hooked up fine and worked the FIRST TIME! That is KEY!Had to make changes to my modem. Due to this they did not connect and that is expected. BUT, reconnecting them...forget it!I reset the bulbs to factory setting tried reading repeatedly! NOPE! Exchanged them and got brand new ones. Think they connect? NOPE! To test if it was my network, I took them to a friends house. ALL of them and. It one would connect after resetting them. These are cheap for a reason obviously!Horrible product. Now I have 2 boxes at my house that are worthless. My friends also stopped working and theirs can be reset.What’s more? I took ALL 12 bulbs to a third place, reset them completely and none worked at a third location. NOR did the brand new box exchanged. Complete crap. And before you say it has to be 2.4ghz WiFi!IT IS! These suck and there is zero customer support and their directions in the box tell you NOTHING! What a joke! When something is too good to be true, it is!

I've been a long time customer with third party bulbs that are sometimes a much better value than Hue. Don't get me wrong, I have a handful of Hue bulbs as well, but once I was introduced to Lumen and TIKLOC, I was hooked.My favorite color default is Periwinkle, and these match very well! Each bulb can be controlled independently, and once you link Google Home, (or whatever smart controller you use), it's all automatic. I can say "Hey Google, turn the bathroom lights brightness to 20%" for those early mornings, or better yet, even have a routine set up.Love these little dudes and I'm already looking for more places to install them! (and GREAT for holiday ambiance!!)** 4 Month Update ** These TIKLOC bulbs have lost brightness by roughly 40% at the max setting. The initial power on and connectivity works fine, but the brightness is just totally lost after daily use. Lumen bulbs continue to burn bright, but beware with TIKLOC for longevity.

The lights are a hit so far! Setup was a breeze and I was up and running with four lights connected, grouped, and working with Google Home in less than 10 minutes. The PlusMinus app is easy to use and I like the interface (screenshot attached). I am also a fan of these lights being dimmable in any color is choose. I am a fan!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  So I LOVE THESE. I was playing with them for a good 30 minutes after setting them up lol. I couldn't figure out how to control all of them at once from the plus minus app, but Google did it! The setup was super easy, you just screw em in, download the app, turn em off for a few seconds, then off & on a few times, & ta-da! You can make them ANY color you want, flash between different colors, fade to different colors,... Set them on a timer, anything you can think of! Pretty sure I need these for every room in my house. If nothing else, just to freak my kids' friends out. & stop the neverending "TURN THAT LIGHT OUT!" 🙄 Just stop reading & buy them.
