Expensive but very sturdy
I just returned from hauling 2 bikes in the back of my full size truck for 1300 miles. My Pipeline rack was strong the entire trip. I used some bungi chords for my confidence but they are probably not needed. I did not use the rear wheel wire rack because I needed room for other stuff. The weight of the bike supports the rear wheel without the rear wheel wire. I have a rubber mat in my F150 so it keeps things from sliding around and it is softer for my knees. The instructions are good and yes it will take a couple hours to put together. Then make your adjustments for the size of your wheel. This is a very well designed and the best bike rack product that I have found so far.

Great way to carry your bikes in a truck!
Perfect solution for transporting bikes in a pickup truck bed. No issues at all with packing or quality. Fairly easy to assemble. Getting it set up for the bikes the first time is a little time consuming. But once set up, putting it in the truck and loading bikes is a snap. I use it for a 29'er MTB, a 26'er MTB and a kid's mountain bike. I have not set it up for my road bike yet since I usually use that one by myself.I found it odd that there are not many well thought out solutions for transporting bikes in the bed of a truck. I hate hitch haulers and others required drilling holes in the bed. Others just propped the bike up with an arm. I like the idea of only holding the bike by the wheels. Bikes stay put on bumpy dirt roads and stable at highway speeds. I have it in a RAM 2500 6.5ft bed and no issues with fitment and can close the tailgate on all 3 bikes.

My road bike flops side to side during travel which I don't like and plan on modifying and correcting myself
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I purchased my Pipeline rack direct through Pipeline and they did not send my complete order. The company has no address and no phone number to contact for support. Pipeline has never answered any of my numerous Emails leaving me with a pile of bent pipe and plastic gizmos that is worthless. I was able to assemble 1 of the two racks I ordered and was not impressed. My road bike flops side to side during travel which I don't like and plan on modifying and correcting myself. The product is overpriced for what I received. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BELIEVE ANY GREAT REVIEWS ON THIS PRODUCT. You WILL be disappointed.

Great for holding bikes in the pickup bed without clamps ...
Great for holding bikes in the pickup bed without clamps or drilling holes. Fairly easy to put together. Bikes still wobble in the rack so I plan on adding a stabilizer strap for extra stability. I would highly recommend extra straps if you plan on driving on bumpy dirt roads. Price was a little steep but it was the best one on the market I could find to secure and protect my bike. Rack is easy and light weight to put in your truck bed. I can carry it with one hand and seems stout enough. The only problem I see is the metal loop for a security cable to go through it. The metal loop should be much bigger in width so you can use a thicker cable or chain that someone can't cut easily.

Works but not that great
I bought this with high hopes. The extruded Aluminum and all the hardware and infinite adjustability showed great promise. In practice it's a pain. First off, the racks is made to be infinitely adjustable. So, rather than just use regular hardware, they used toggle clamps which work on an eccentric cam. Problem is, that they always loosen, no matter how tight you make them.Second, the method to attach this to your truck is bootleg at best. Two nylon straps which fasten through your trucks bed hold downs and to the rack. By default, this allows the rack to slide back a lot. If you try to over tighten it, it bends the arms out of alignment with the rack. Finally, if you have to make an adjustment on some of the joints, you have to undo the entire thing, and flip it upside down to access the nut that requires loosening and tightening. A huge pain.If the manufacturer is reading this, here are some suggestions:Ditch the cute eccentric cams and just supply regular nuts and bolts. You have to constantly tighten them anyway, so just cut to chase and supply something that actually stays tight.Devise a better method to firmly attach the rack to the truck bed.Make the tolerance on the bar that holds all the arms more generous. It's impossible to slide an arm on that rod, just too tight and too much friction.I wanted to like this rack, and even though I have a full size pick up, if I had to do it again, I would just get a Thule hitch mount. If you like to infinitely make adjustments and enjoy that process, this is the rack for you. If you just want something that works, move on to a hitch mount.

Can be modified for a trailer.
We modified it to fit inside our enclosed trailer so our heavy electric bikes would be protected from the elements. I wish there was a one that could be mounted in a trailer. It works for our two bikes!

This is what I've been looking for...
This is the perfect bike rack for your truck. I've looked for a long time to find the right rack for my bikes. I even made my own once but I had to remove the front wheel with my design. Not this one. I don't even have to jump up in the bed of the truck to get my bikes loaded. I have a GMC 2500 4x4 so I ordered the full size rack for three bikes. My truck sets a little higher than some other trucks but I still load my bikes from the side quick and easy. The only part of this rack that takes you any time in loading your bikes is if you choose to attach the Velcro strap around the wheel. When I'm going short distances I don't bother with the strap. The two bikes I normally transport have 700mm x 23mm and 700mm x 25mm tires. The bikes fit snugly and don't move at all during transport. The rack parts come to you in a styrofoam cutout so the pieces don't rub together. It took me about an hour to assemble it by myself. Once it's assembled it's light enough that one person can easily carry it around. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
