I did a lot of research before buying this, as there are a lot of different products on the market and finding the compatibility with my garage door was a challenge. Thankfully my garage door was listed on their website as compatible (Rollerdor) and it had wiring instructions showing a photo of the circuit board of my door controller. The only thing to be careful of is that I had to buy the Gate version of this, NOT the Garage - as the gate version has a door sensor that works on roller doors. Also, because of the set up of my door controller, I could not use the Lite version of the product. Even though I only have one door to control, I have to run two sets of wires into the circuit board and essentially set up 2 doors in the app - one for opening the door, the other for closing. This means I had to go for the PRO version which has 3 door functionality and is more expensive.Although I have not taken up this option, you can also attach an IP camera to the app so when the garage door opens or closes you get a live video feed. I may add this on at some point.It was very, very easy to install. The wiring instructions on the website for my garage door were perfect. I guess it took 30 mins in all to register the device on the app, and then wire it in and test it. Once wired up it worked perfectly.Opening it can be done through the iSmartgate app or the Apple Home app. I also connected it to IFTTT and can open it and close it with Alexa voice commands. With IFTTT you have the option to create other custom commands, which makes it a very versatile device.Overall, I would give it 5 stars for functionality, but I docked it one star for the price - it is expensive.

A great product which was fairly easy to install. Online instructions and selection wizard were good and support was great when I had a problem. Sadly had to return as they wouldn’t work with our garage door even though it’s listed. The supplies magnet and sensor wouldn’t attach to our roller door. I can imagine the tilt doors would work brilliantly. Such a shame there isn’t a different option to the magnet or even one without the magnet.
