I wanted to point out, even though it is in the product description, that this does not come with software. If you are purchasing this to watch Blu rays on a PC you will probably need to pay for software. I tried a few free alternatives to try to play one of my TV shows but I could not get it to work. It will probably depend on what you are trying to watch, the free may work, but I wanted to point this out for any potential buyers. The software most recommended is PowerDvD.With that said, I mainly bought this back up my Blu ray discs and create digital copies of them. So far it has worked perfectly. In the description it mentioned it probably wont work with a hub but I use it with a powered hub and it works fine. The cable is a bit short so you may want get a bit longer cable if you are using this with a desktop. The build quality seems really nice and I don't really see it failing anytime soon. I have not tried to write anything yet but if/when I do, I'll be sure to update this review if there are any problems.

this product is noisy and slow to read data

The drive did not recognize a 4k disk even though Cyberlink Power DVD Ultra 19 and the latest hardware was used. Also it didn't work on normal Blue Ray. The player was recognized but kept say the disk was corrupt. However, both disks worked fine in other devises. A waste of time and money.

A great Blu-Ray/DVD player. I use it with my MAC. It requires downloading a software for Blu-Ray. A good quality product! The company Ploveyy doesn't provide telephone assistance as they are a Chinese company. I did point out that they should have service in English as they are selling their product on Amazon.com, the American site. They were however quick with answering email messages. Thank You!
