Looks good and works well.
This is really a nice looking French press and it works well too. A French press does make the best coffee, so I was sad when I broke my old one after years of use. This one seems stronger and is definitely nicer looking. I like the strainer at the pour spout, which seems to make my coffee come out cleaner. I do dry the top of it after washing so it does not get water spots; I want to keep its lovely shine. I cannot imagine why some other people have written that it is fragile or breaks easily, it seems very strong to me. I do pour a small amount of hot water over the grounds and leave it to sit a short time until the coffee aroma blossoms, before filling it all the way......this serves to preheat the carafe as it softens the coffee grounds and brings out the flavor....which is just the best way to make coffee.

Solid, easily made coffee anywhere
This tiny french press is kind of an office dream for me. I can’t stand k-cup style coffee. And bringing a full french press into the office can at times be seen as a little extreme. Something this small is easily transported in a workbag or lunchbox. Enough to serve two ppl easily with a little coffee for one shift, and easy to rinse out or clean. Depending on what you enjoy, you just need this french press, a little coarse ground coffee, and a way to boil your water (you can even use a Keurig to get that if you want. And your good to go.I also greatly enjoy the design and construction. It feels very solid and quality, without having much weight to it. And the copper is just a subjectively glorious touch. It really helps sell it as a quality, or even premium item. Highly recommend for french press coffee lovers.

An excellent single-cup french press
I was looking for a small french press to test new varieties of coffee bean without interfering with my wife’s daily cup from our super-automatic espresso machine. This 12oz Zakura french press is perfect! The amount of coffee that the press makes depends on how many grounds are used; I make a strong brew and usually get a 10oz cup. The filter can be easily disassembled so filter cleaning and replacement are a snap. The filter is stainless steel and very fine. I set my grinder to get coffee grounds the size of toast crumbs and never have an issue with silt in my cup. The glass carafe is secured in a solid metal cage that is both easy to clean and long-lived. Overall I am very impressed with the Zakura french press. It makes a great cup of coffee.

lastet 3 years
The press worked great for 3 years. It just broke a few minutes ago after poring hot water in it. I guess glass one don't last that long after all. It was a great product while it lastet.

5 Stars, One Cup Serving
I really like this press. It is smaller than my last press, so I added pictures next to a typical and small coffee mug. This makes one cup at a time! I am the only one who drinks coffee, so that is fine. The pour is good with no leaks and no grains make it into the cup. I had an issue with design of a previous press I had where the lid had to be first tilted before pressing down, this does not have that flaw which is great. 5 stars

Easy to use, easy to clean coffee is good!
We have had our coffee pot for 4 years now and it has served us well. It is a small one cup, perfect for me in the am. The coffee, depends on the grind you use how strong or how light it is, it is up to you. I would absolutely replace this again. Boiling water has not bothered it every morning for the last 4 years!

This doesn't produce 12oz of coffee, plus it's unstable
I bought this for the aesthetics, but I'm sending it back: I've had a one-mug French press, from Ikea (it worked fine for me, but the plastic lid finally broke off). This produces 8-9 oz. But aside from the amount being less than stated, the item itself is unstable -- the cute copper wrapping makes it so. It's also such a small diameter it's difficult to remove the coffee grounds after use.

Works great and looks nice
Good for making one cup at a time, which is all I do or want. It's built really solid and has a nice antique copper feel to it. The filter screen seems to hold pretty well, though fine particles do get through. This is my first french press and I miss some things about drip coffee, but I have to work on grind size for sure. Also the glass appears to be well held in place, apparently unlike others where the carafe can slide out and break.
