Lost a remote recently. Looked for a reasonably priced replacement - this looked good. Works great - no programming required. Seems to function same as the OEM remote.

Exact Replacement that Works Perfectly!
I was worried that I'd not be able to replace the remote for my wonderful old soundbar (Vizio S3851w-D4). I'm pleased to report that this remote is an exact replacement and all the features work perfectly. This is good news because they literally don't make sound bars like this anymore! So thanks, guys, for helping breathe new life into mine!

no mess no fuss. popped in batteries and my existing vizio 42 sound bar and subwoofer recognized. easy to follow the menu and a little common sense. now got my work office jamming the tunes and all applications. love it definitely inexpensive fix to remote access

It's a good replacement, use alkaline batteries, not rechargeables
Edit: Increased from 2 to 4 starsAfter reading other reviews for similar devices, I suspected that the issue with the LCD screen may have been a function of the type of batteries I was using. I swapped in some brand new alkaline batteries, rather then the rechargeable batteries I used originally, and now it's working perfectly. Now, the LCD screen still has no back light, so you can't see it in the dark, but that's exactly the same limitation the original had. So in that sense, this thing is a great replica of an originally not-so-great remote control.Original Review1) It works, in that it turns the volume up/down2) All of the complaints about the quality of the LCD screen are accurate. Mine doesn't work at all. Which makes it at best a trial & error procedure to guess which input you have set, and basically impossible to use the menu to adjust the treble/base or adjust the volume of the sub-woofer.

Inexpensive replacement for an older Visio soundbar remote
LED on the old remote was no longer readable, and it became difficult to adjust the sound. The new remote has a clear LED and is completely compatible with the soundbar. Inexpensive fix to the problem!
