Excellent duty weapon
Our security company has purchased two of these M26C tasers. They are extremely durable and top-quality law enforcement tasers. Everything is a big plus, except for one important drawback .... the trigger pull is very high - very difficult. We have talked to Taser about this - it is not adjustable and they designed it this way to minimize accidental discharges. It makes for a very difficult on-purpose shot, however! Otherwise, this is a most excellent less-than-lethal duty weapon. Be aware: This is not a concealable weapon - it is designed to be worn exposed on your police/security duty belt.

DO NOT PURCHASE A TASER (Registered trademark) COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT
I purchased a Taser C2 from this company around 2009. I was told that it had a lifetime warranty and if I needed to, I could send the unit back to them and they would replace it with a matching unit. This was the only reason I paid so much for it in the first place. I assumed the unit was good and working until I noticed in 2014, that the battery light was not on (which meant the unit was non-functional). I have no idea when it stopped working. I had a false sense of security thinking I had purchased a quality product.I contacted the Taser Company and got a replacement battery. Unfortunately, the new battery only lasted a few months. When I contacted the company regarding their defective product, they told me that I needed to PURCHASE A NEW UNIT.Really, I needed to spend another $400.00 for a new unit, because Taser does not stand behind their promise on their OVERPRICED defective merchandise they sell. Finally, after being on hold and talking to different people for about 45 minutes, they said that if I PAID FOR SHIPPING the Taser back to them, they would give me a $50.00 credit towards a new unit. Wow, a whole $50.00!!!! That is about the price of one battery.Do not purchase any Taser products, they only guarantee that the Taser will function for 12 months. If it becomes non-functional after that, kiss your money good-bye. (In addition to the numerous replacement batteries, you may have purchased.) What good is a Taser product when you walk to your car in the dark? You quickly reach for your Taser and pull out a defective non-working unit. I guess your only protection would come from being able to throw it at your attacker. Buy something less expensive, most units will have a one-year guarantee, so why pay so much for this one.I found this news info about thousands of Tasers being defective.I guess I am not the only one who purchased a defective Taser.CTV News has obtained court documents that suggest thousands of Tasers may be defective. The lawsuit was brought against Taser International by its own shareholders, who were concerned the company had not disclosed safety deficiencies. The former employees also claimed defective Tasers that had been returned were sawn open, the high voltage circuit boards were removed and "simply put in new casings with new serial numbers and sent out again without the flaws actually being rectified."Related News Links:www.cameronward.comwww.abc15.com

The game changer...
I have been working in animal control for 15 years, and I highly recommend the TASER M26C. A few months ago, we received a call asking us to investigate the living conditions of a stray Chihuahua that had been spotted behind a local business. Normally, going outside in the sub-freezing temperatures doesn’t appeal to me, but my partner and I had just been issued the new Taser M26C, and I was eager for the chance to use mine in an official capacity. When we arrived on the scene, we discovered that the little dog had made its home out of some boxes behind the store, and had been going through the trash looking for food. After tearing down his temporary habitat by stomping on all of the boxes, we cornered the dog behind the dumpster. After poking it a few times with our Y poles, to gauge his reaction, the Chihuahua became highly aggressive. I thought for a minute we would have to beat him into submission, but then I remembered our new standard issue TASER M26C’s. I’m not sure what the dog’s name was, but we called him “sparky” after he lit up like a Christmas tree while being pumped with 5,000 milliamps of current. The taser took him right down, and we were able to get him into the kennel on the back of the van without issue. The new TASER M26C is a game changer, and will allow us to do our jobs much more efficiently and in a professional manner. The new features now penetrate up to two inches of skin, which is great when trying to capture those elusive long haired cats, that so often escape our snare poles. Thanks Taser, for making such a great and reliable product.
