I can only echo what others have said about this item and recommend it; for the price it is a real bargain and any defects ( of which there are precisely none I can detect at this point in time) should be weighed against the price.The mechanism is true and accurate (hour and second hands line up perfectly) the cyclops is angled just enough for an accurate date reading whilst wearing the watch and the strap is solid and has an easy clasp to do/undo. Bezel goes around, too.Having said all that, as I am a MASSIVE FUD, whilst getting the protective plastic off the bezel I accidentally removed the top dot which came free of its mounting and is now hiding in microscopic plain sight somewhere within a two-yard radius of where I sit. I've spent nearly half an hour methodically searching with a fine-tooth comb, but I doubt CSI Wrexham could locate this one.Live and learn...In conclusion, overall happy.

I've just finished getting this watch unwrapped (carefully removing the plastic from the bezel) and setting the date and time (not the best mechanism for pressing in to start the watch, as the minute hand may jump a minute forward or back, but you soon get one right and it's not a problem).The main problem for me (all fingers and thumbs) was getting the little plastic retaining ring out from under the adjuster but it's done now. I used some tweezers to stop it rotating while I used a phone reset pin-thing to force the plastic off. Again, not a real problem.The watch looks good (both in itself and on the wrist) and the bezel rotates anti-clockwise, clicking as it goes - so don't try to rotate it clockwise as it won't like it... Oh, and the dot at the top of the bezel is luminous but the rest of the watch appears not to be, apart from the three hands which glow a bit faintly.I'm pleased with this watch, so now who can I fool into believing I have a Rolex...? At first glance I would be, but then again I'm easily pleased/impressed! Oh, the 50p is to show the size of the display.May 5th update: The watch is happily ticking away beside me. A bit fiddly to move the time back in March and when April ran out of days and finished early (as it does every year), but it's accurate and stable.

Always buy cheap watches under a fiver and throw them out when the battery dies.This one is different , looks a bit like a Rolex and is very well put together, strap is not cheap either , also has a working calendar.Wont be chucking this one but will replace the battery and ordered another as well

Bought this as a watch to wear when I'm gardening/doing DIY/working on the car etc, on the basis that at the price it would be nothing lost if it got damaged or marked. At the price I obviously wasn't expecting a lot and my expectations were certainly met; it's now in the bin. Arrived ok but as soon as I tried to set the time it was obvious the mechanism wasn't up to much, the hands spun freely and it was difficult to set accurately. After the first time of wearing I washed my hands and briefly cleaned the watch, and shortly thereafter it developed really bad condensation. Tried twice to gently dry it out and although it cleared the watch just stopped working. As said, it's in the bin so a case of buyer beware.

Lovely watch! I’ve got all colours versions, these watches are outstanding for the price!!! Please note! that on some watches it appears to have a bad finish on the bezel, this is because there is a thin film of plastic protecting the bezel that needs to be removed! (It can be a little hard to do) but worth it.

Although I like the appearance of this watch there are a few things I don't like. The bubble in the glass isn't over the date window & is an assembly problem that could so easily have been done correctly (sloppy, uncaring assemblers therefore); the thin black circular inset piece with white numbers on the rotatable ring has bubbles formed all around it, & the circular depression for this black inset piece forms a sharp edge all the way round & actually cut my finger slightly when I ran it around the edge - no part of a watch should do this to its wearer! The watch is really a showpiece & is not accurate & loses a little time every day, but this last is not a problem for me. I had to take 2 links out of the wrist band & this required a set of small special tools, but the job didn't look too good once I'd assembled the band again; however, you'd have to look closely to notice the imperfections.

I ordered these watches expecting them to be OK as Christmas presents for my extensive family, well they are not just OK they a fab. Heavy steel beautifully finished and the bessil actually works, it looks the part of a sub- mariner watch. Great value for money, I have ordered a few more to give as Christmas presents. Buy one before they are Gone!

I am delighted with this watch. It is amazing value and keeps excellent time - within a second or two of my radio controlled clock. No instructionscame with the watch but, when necessary, it should be easy enough to work out how to replace the battery. The bracelet was on the large sidefor me but it was easy for me to use a pointed tool to slide out two of the links to make a perfect fit to my wrist. Even the bezel on this watch rotates!
