For those that are picky like me
I've been using the 1 gallon ice chest trick for years to make crystal clear cubes. Saw this and couldn't pass it up. Unfortunately it only makes 2 balls at a time but they are perfectly clear. Absolutely let this sit in a motion free freezer for 24+ hours. Then remove the balls and place in a baggie to continue hardening in the freezer. To get the silicone tray out, let it sit for a few minutes and gently start pulling up. It will come out. Rinse with fresh water and start over again. Takes up a bit of room in the freezer but absolutely worth it. Keeps your drink cooler longer than using regular ice cubes. Crystal clear ice is harder than regular ice. Definitely DO NOT try to chew this ice.

It works - Takes a few tries.....but it does make beautiful ice to elevate your drinks.
On every trial we did Brita filtered water into a kettle heated up - but not boiling. I did not let it cool before putting it in the freezer. I tried 24 hours and there were lots of streaks on that first round and it wasn't quite fully frozen. It looked cool - because all around the streaks it was super clear. Second round was better, but it was SUPER hard to get the mold out because I think the bottom (under the cubes) froze a bit too much - that was closer to 30 hours. For the third round we did 26 hours and it was BEAUTIFUL. There was lots of water left on the bottom, so you think "shoot, it's not done" but it was perfect. For the price, it's totally worth figuring out what works. After that.......repeat. Super easy. I have to admit I rolled my eyes when my husband wanted this, but it really does make the drink feel extra special. We can see the design on the bottom of our rocks classes. Elevate your drinking experience. It’s fun.

Crystal clear spheres. (and I have hard water!)
This is the cheapest of this type I could find. It works perfectly. My condolences to the idiots who have bought the identical item for near $250

Excellent product!
This makes two perfectly clear ice balls. You will have to experiment with your freezer. First try, left the ice ball maker in the freezer for 24 hours. The bottom of the balls was not solid (first picture). Next try, left it for 30 hours... perfect clear balls (second picture). Like other reviewers mentioned, the only drawback is making two balls at a time.

Excellent product
This is same as many other products out but with a great price. Works exactly as advertised. Does a pretty impressive job with just tap water. Just fill it with room temp water, insert mold, put in freezer for approx 24hrs, remove beautiful cubes, repeat. I used room temp reverse osmosis water with even better results. I suppose distilled water would work great as well. Excellent value

Crystal Clear Ice Balls!
The instructions are very clear and simple and I end up with crystal clear ice balls. It can be a little difficult to get the core out of the base after the balls are finished but it's not a big deal. I would definitely recommend this if you're interested in some very nice ice balls.

Great clear ice without the fuss
I make clear ice using the Coleman cooler method. I also have an ice ball press which works great and is a great conversation piece. However, sometimes you just want a drink without the fuss. This works great. My process:-Fill the cooler from a Brita jug. Fill it about 2 inches from the top-Slowly insert the rubber molds and displace the water-When the water comes out the top holes you've filled it. If it needs more slowly add through the top holes but if you've filled it up enough initially and slowly added the molds you should be fine.-wipe away the excess water and freeze overnight. 20-26 hours is good in my freezer.-pull out the mold, remove the ice balls and put them in a freezer bag in your freezer and they're ready to go next time you need them. You do some of the mold lines so they aren't as clean as an iceball press but good enough for the price you're paying. I've made about 3 dozen so far and no issues.

Great product
It really does make clear ice and the design is by far the best I have tried. The only downside is that it only makes two spheres. But on the upside it takes up less room on the freezer. You can always make additional ice cubes and store them in the freezer as they will remain clear.

Creates clear and impressive ice spheres
This crystal clear ice maker delivers to expectations. I have no experience with any other ice makers, nor commercial products so I can't compare quality but to me this meet my expectations and need.+ Affordable+ Produces great crystal spheres+ The spheres are solid (My puppy dropped one from 2 foot deck to the concrete and it retained the shape)- Hard to identify the right amount of water- 24 - 36 hours to create two spheres- Mold can be hard to pull out- Hard to know when the sphere is ready/frozenHere is how I do it:I boil filtered water to 50 degrees CelsiusFill the container to where I think the instructions tell me toLower the moldsUsually top up the molds. Push the mold down a bit and remove excess water with a towelPlace in the top rack of a bottom freezer for about 32 hours (which seems to be a little bit too much)Jimmy out the moldRemove the spheres and place them in a large bag with the other sphere - which I keep in the freezerPrior to use I rinse the ice in cold water to get "the first crack"Super happy with them.

Broken box
Arrived in a broken box!!! This is the basis of my 3starInstructions are on the box. Other reviewers gave positive review. So it’s current in the freezer making the ice. The unit is larger than expected. Not a big deal.
