What a Concept - Good Food for My Dog
In making the decision to improve our dog's health, choosing the right brand of food was critical. Using "Dog Food Advisor" online to see the truth about what's considered 'ingredients' and who makes high-quality pet food was crucial. I was shocked at what the majority of 'popular' dog food manufacturers actually consider 'good food' for our pets. Some should say, "Hazardous to Your Pet's Health". I spent over a year researching what is considered "good food" for our dog. I found Primal Pet Foods to be have one of the best-rated, high-quality freeze-dried meals available. The 'ease of use' was also an important factor since I'm wheelchair bound and preparing her meals was becoming too physically demanding in locating, purchasing and preparing FRESH ingredients. If I'm going to eat the 'right food' myself, how can I justify feeding my most beloved 'friend' crap? I couldn't..., especially when I found a lot of popular dog food brands include ingredients that are harmful to dogs. What a 'wake-up call' about the pet food industry. I guess I shouldn't be shocked, considering what 'food manufacturers' are putting in human food today.Freeze-dried was a 'common sense' decision for me because I still wanted to keep her meals as 'fresh' as possible. It was becoming way too expensive to purchase the FRESH beef and turkey at the market. And, when I found 'they' were adding more FAT to offset 'their' rising costs, that's when I really became disgusted with the food industry as a whole. But that's another story...We discovered that the FRESH product we'd been using (for over a year) was hiding the 'additional' 6% of fat' in their ground beef in tiny, tiny print in the folds of the wrapping. That's just insulting. Now, our FRESH 'human' meat was not only MORE expensive , it was INFERIOR in quality.I needed to find a dog food company that cared about what they use in their products, especially in their Raw Dog Food. Primal Pet Foods may be 'small' in comparison to the 'major' pet food manufacturers, but they are BIG on QUALITY. Every one of their brands is rated at the TOP for Ingredients like Protein and LOW in carbs & grains. Primal Pet Foods has a wonderful selection of various types of high quality raw pet food (Feline included). They incorporate the best in beef, poultry & fish with the right amount and selection of vegetables and fruits. I know,. I spent months researching them along with other high-rated pet food manufacturers. I contacted them personally to discuss their products. One of the 'neat' features and on their website (and on the package) is the ease at figuring out just how much 'food' you should feed your beloved pet. I found this to be extremely valuable because we wanted her to shed a couple of pounds and their website showed us what amounts were right for her age, size, activity level, etc.As for cost. Yes, it costs a little more than 'commercial grade' dog food. That's a given. So do the other manufacturers of FRESH raw dog food products. In this case, you get what you pay for. It's good quality dog food. (It costs more to 'eat the right food' myself.) When comparing Freeze Dried to what it was costing us to buy FRESH, the difference was actually less and the food stays fresher longer by mixing only what she needs a few days at a time. 'Preparation' is just adding water (I let it soak for a couple of hours before serving and I keep it refrigerated, per the instructions). For her two meals each day, we combine this 'formula' with chopped bean sprouts, a special 'glop' mixture of veggies & fruits and a few supplements. (To make things easier, I bought a small, digital scale to weigh out her portions each time. Turns out, we use the scale for our food and even to weigh packages for shipment.)Overall, our 'child' is healthier now than she was when we rescued her 3 years ago. They were feeding a popular brand of 'commercial' pet food for 6 years and it was causing her all kinds of health problems. No more toxins, no more 'unknowns', no more hidden allergens wrecking havoc on her system. If you're going to invest your time, money and LOVE with "Man's Best Friend", why would you feed them anything less than what's best for them? Her Vet's is so impressed with the turnaround in her overall health. She's healthier and happier since we made 'good food' choices a priority. So are we. Read the labels on everything you buy. If you don't know what an ingredient is, learn. Learn what's really 'good' for your pet. It's important for their health and well-being. They're worth it! So is knowing what's in the food you eat. Your health depends on it too.

Not nuggets. More like crumbs.
I buy these and Stella's to stuff into my dog's Kong. This is the first time I bought two together. They were taped together. When I opened the package, the "nuggets" were not nuggets at all... just crumbs. The packages were crushed. So I can't really stuff the Kong with the crumbs. I'll stick with buying them individually.

Our dog adores these nuggets. Just add a few (depending on size of dog) to the food and a little water and our dog thinks it is filet mignon.

My fur baby loves this.
I use one cube in 1/4 cup of warm water to mix with my dogs dry food for evening feedings. She expects it to be ready when she gets home from her evening walks. Dog tested. Vet approved!

Would use again.
Got a rescue dog with severe food allergies. He was on this product and a couple of other foods. It did not make him worse, so it must have been good. He needed soft food at the time due to some dental issues. He is now on kibble, but this is still a good product if your dog has food allergies and needs soft food.

Dogs love it.
We have two Italian Greyhounds and crumbling some of this on their food and adding some hot water works great.
