Rack Furniture Brookfield Loft Bed,Cherry

This bed/combo is a great bargain. We searched all stores in our area and couldn't find anything even close to this. Most beds we found were between $1300 and $1800 dollars and not of any higher quality then this one. We were only buying one bed but, because of the great price, decided to go ahead and purchase two, one for each kid. The kids love them, they have lots of under the bed storage, and in return their rooms have lots more play space.Each bed ships in three heavy boxes, everything is labeled well and the directions are really easy to follow. I put the first bed and all components together by my self and it took about 3.5 - 4 hours from start to finish.

While the value was great--getting all that storage and a bed for that price--just putting it together some pieces torqued and broke and we had to use gorilla glue and white duct tape to make it sturdy. We've been using it for about 10 months, and one of the ladder rungs has twisted and cracked as well (my daughter is about 38 pounds). It is also so wobbly that the few times I've gotten in bed with her (I'm 150) I was afraid it was going to break! Would not recommend!

terrific product for the price. I have had 3 kids I know that even raising respectful conscientious kids still means the furniture will get wear and tear. I read another review that said the unit wasn't stead and that is just crazy. If you put it together as instructed there is no way that could be. It is solid and sturdy. Assembly was not hard but did take me a good 6-7 hrs as I was working by myself and had to keep stopping and coming back later. My daughter loves it. It is tons of storage and we set it up to have a little fort area underneath with one unit off to the side. the under units can be arranged in lots of ways. The only thing that kept me from 5 stars (and it may not be fair) it that it is a basic kind of piece. Not fancy, but very clean. Not any real wood, but the price is excellent. Because it is all compressed board the edges are not rounded and could be quite sharp if struck. All in all we are thrilled with this very sturdy, clean and practical unit.

The bed is great for storage, but it is not made of a sturdy material. It wobbles when my 5 year old daughter climbs in and out. While I have no concerns that it will fall apart, it is not as well made as a bed should be. More frustrating, there was a part missing when it was shipped to us and Rack Furniture is near impossible to contact. The number listed on the instructions is a personal phone of what sounds like a young girl. I was unable to find any contact info that worked for them online, so I contacted Amazon who did a great job of trying to track down someone from Rack Furniture for me. We were never successful in contacting the company and eventually Amazon ended up refunding part of my purchase price so I could manufacture the needed part myself. A quick check with Better Business Bureau informed me that the company has an "F" rating due to multiple complaints of missing parts and lack of response from the company to inquiries and complaints. Spare yourself the trouble and purchase one of the many other loft beds with underneath storage options.

My son loves his new bed! The storage is awesome and he loves climbing up the stairs to go to bed. The price is great and the bed is sturdy. It was tedious to put together (good grief), but it was certainly worth it!

Beautiful design, space saving, but does not stay tight. The end where the ladder is very wobbly and will only get worse in time. We have this only for about 7 days.

This bed was simple to put together and is very sturdy. We moved one of the cubbies to the back and she has her own little hideout! Our 5 year old loves it.
