Holy crap. At first when I unboxed it I was a little underwhelmed. The lightness of it made me feel like the construction would be sub-par, and there's no spring to aid with opening the handle. It came on a camping trip with us a day later, and working my campfire around has never been easier! It was really easy to get the hang of, took some rough punishment, and let me keep my fires going longer and have tons more control, whether I was focusing on getting it to burn hot, smolder down for coals or rebuild it as the night went on. Fit great whether I was grabbing pieces of ember or thick quartered logs. It's now one of those 'How did I ever go without this?' devices.

We use these for our fireplace and they are awesome. Ordered another pair for sister & her hubby fir their camper. They used them all summer and just love them.

Very useful in moving logs at our outdoor fire pit. The clamping arm is a bit flimsy and required some filing where it was rubbing to get it to work smoothly. Overall a good value for the price and more useful than a poker if moving logs.

I have a cabin in the woods. I got the log grabber for our fires. We can grab 1 inch wood or whole logs. It is long enough that we are far away from the fire. Works like a charm!

Loved this tool for the firepit. Unfortunately over a few months one of the prong tines bent/broke, so now claw not useable, but still makes a good fire poker

A few years ago we bought a grabber from Amazon which we still own and love. We wanted to buy a second one to permanently leave in our new camper. While the two grabbers looked the same in the picture, it is clear that the Sunnydaze log grabber is manufactured by a different company. This is an inferior knock-off product made in India (according to the sticker on the grabber.) The hand mechanism is extremely stiff and requires two hands to open and close. Also, the grabber only opens to 3 1/4" wide. The other one we own operates smoothly and easily using only one hand, and opens to 7 1/2" wide. We put the two products next to each other and could see that they were designed the same, However, a pin was located one inch shorter in the Sunnydaze model which was the cause of it not opening as wide. Plus, the slot where the opening mechanism slides was poorly cut out causing the mechanism to bind and move stiffly. My husband finally looked up his old order and discovered the one we already own and love was a Landmann 36-Inch Log Grabber. We mailed the Sunnydaze grabber back for a refund and re-ordered the Landmann.

This is my 2nd Log Grabber to purchase. Excellent product for my needs! I am very happy with the "Log Grabber" to pick up Bocce Balls. I am a senior and have a little difficulty to lean over and pick up the balls. This Log Grabber is long enough, has enough strength to grasp the 2 lbs ball to lift the ball into my other hand, I just have to be a careful not to drop the ball on my foot. The hook portion was a little loose so I just put the bracket in a vice and compressed the bracket, that gave the hook improved stability to hang onto the ball for the hook might slip sideways. Great shipping. I am enjoying Bocce even more.

This is probably the best wood grabber we have ever used. It is long enough so you’re not getting too hot adjusting the fire. We can also grab and remove our Solo Stove screen cover and ring when needed.

We used it in the fire pit and it was great to be able to pick up the log and turn it. Sturdy construction and the long handle made it safer to turn the logs. Great if you have a strong arm to use the grabber one handed or else can be a bit heavy (part of the sturdy construction) so would just use two hands. Would definitely recommend it to a friend!

This is a great product! Tested it out at our campfire over the weekend. The spring seems a little flimsy but so far so good.

This product is for putting logs on the fire, but when I opened it, it wad all beat up and jammed up and could not use it! I am waiting for a reply from the company !!
