MazeWool Balmoral Bonnet Hat Scottish Piper Green or Blue

I love this bonnet but when I wear it I look like Frank Spencer (some mother's do have them) so I'll keep to wear when I'm fishing.(Ooooh Betty).

Pleasantly surprised at quality. Both materials and construction were excellent.Colour was dark (bottle) green, matching the online picture. I would have preferred a lovat green or blue but this was an inexpensive bunnet to keep my head warm in winter.Ordered size was 57cm and this was on the label. The measured size was 56cm. I had read other reviews and knew to order one size larger.The fixed dangling ribbons seem pretentious. My previous bonnet had a working ribbon that could be used to adjust the fit.Arrived by post (through the letter box) almost exactly 48 hours after placing the order.

I ordered two of these. The first just fit but was tight so I got the next size up. Because of shipping cost to return the first small size back to the U.K. I decided to keep it and pass it on to a friend and the company sent me a free hackle. These are excellent, fully lined berets for the price. Very affordable.

This is more or less what I expected, a tad tight for a 7.25 but I am sure it will stretch. I was expecting a black torrie but got a dark emerald green one but that is not a problem. At £12.99 I do not expect perfection but it is a good wee bonnet.

I shoot and fish so I always buy a new hat at end of shooting and beginning of fishing (salmon) this is a belter probably the best in 20 years I will adorn with feathers and then flies
